The Storm were 2 points away from a semifinal appearance in last year’s 5A playoffs but lost to the eventual runner-ups. Nevertheless, though they lost some depth from last season, they bring back a team that is poised to make another deep run this year. They’re led by star Daniel Steverson Daniel Steverson 6'2" | SG Cleveland | 2025 #315 Nation NM who has done nothing but improve since the beginning of his high school career, and has since blossomed into a true college prospect with multiple college offers. He’s a master shot-creator with great athletic ability that allows him to get to his spots at will. His backcourt mate Remy Albrecht Remy Albrecht 5'11" | PG Cleveland | 2026 State NM has taken over the combo guard role perfectly for the Storm as the number two option for this offense. As a freshman, he was awarded 1st Team All-District and 5A Freshman of the Year honors, as well as being a key contributor in district play as a catch-and-shoot threat and off-the-dribble creator. On the wing, Noah Padilla Noah Padilla 6'0" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State NM and Isaiah Sandoval Isaiah Sandoval 5'11" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State NM provide valuable minutes in the starting lineup. Padilla is a lockdown man-to-man defender who has strengthened his offensive game by getting to the basket and drawing fouls. Sandoval is one of the most consistent catch-and-shoot threats in the state, making them at a high rate, and will have his role expanded with this new roster outlook. The backcourt depth of this team is very deep as well with Angelo Brito and Titus Sutton giving strong performances off the bench, proving themselves worthy of more varsity recognition. The big questions will lie in this team’s frontcourt, as they lose 3 key players from around the basket. Regardless, the Storm will be a heavy favorite to make a deep run in the playoffs.
