Pond’s a tall, athletic guard who has a good stroke from 3-point and shows the patience to work his man with the dribble and shoot openings to beat his man. He’s a guy that will definitely rise up to the ranks in the next update and can go either direction to score from all levels.
Highlights
After seeing Crow play, I’m not quite sure how we missed him up to this point. He looks like he’s primed for a big season with Issaquah. He has the strength, handle, touch, and power finishing to be a real threat with the ball from just about any spot on the floor. Look for him to be a big riser as the season gets underway.
Highlights
He’s a fierce rebounder from the wings who has no issues putting the ball back up and in after attacking the offensive glass. Parker looks like a pretty good athlete who can also do some things to help out defensively and overall plays a tough brand of basketball.
Elegan is an interesting player who’s gotten better and better over the summer. He’s a pretty shifty guard who shows no fear going inside and attacking the hoop. There’s a good pace to his game and while he can attack and playmake at a high level, he doesn’t try to do too much. He’s got some above average vision to attack lanes and find passes.
Duong is a high-caliber shooter from long-distance and can make one or two dribbles to create space or side-step a defender, and is also an effective spot up shooter. He shows some ability to squeeze into gaps with the dribble too and should be an effective player for Cleveland this season.
Highlights
The diminutive guard can shoot the three at a high rate. He can run the point, creates space well to open up passing lanes, and uses his pump fakes effectively on the perimeter to get past defenders and into the lane. He’s one of the leaders at Sound Christian and should have a big season for them.
Highlights
Zieve is an athletic forward who can attack the rim with power but also shows some good skill to push the ball in transition at times, make the key passes, and defends the perimeter at a high level. He could be a name that steps up for Kamiak this season after they saw a lot of talent leave with the 2023 class.
