Conference Commentary
Top Contenders: Spectrum, Legacy Christian, Heritage Christian, West Lutheran
Spectrum returns their best player ( Blake Femrite Blake Femrite 6'2" | PG Spectrum | 2024 State MN ) and five of their top seven guys overall. They are in a great position to make another run at the league title. Legacy Christian is in a somewhat similar situation to Spectrum bringing back four of their top six guys. They lose the face of their team ( Aiden Johnson Aiden Johnson 6'6" | SF Cannon Falls | 2024 State MN ) but Legacy has a pair of double figure scorers returning. The third contender? That’s the team that couldn’t beat the top two BUT they bring back their best four players so they have the least amount of production to replace, and that is Heritage Christian. With their best player back in Isaiah Ronning Isaiah Ronning 6'1" | PG West Lutheran | 2024 State MN we are also throwing West Lutheran into the mix as they have their star and a couple other starters returning.
Compete with Most: United Christian, PACT, Eagle Ridge
Like the rest of the league, United Christian has three starters returning and their bench. Can they make a jump to the top? It will be tough but Braylon Kerr might have what it takes to push the team to a higher level. PACT has their best two players back from an 11-17 team. With their best players returning Eagle Ridge should improve on their five wins overall but can they improve on the two league wins? The league does not change much so that might be tough.
Rebuilding: North Lakes, International School of MN
North Lakes is the only team that lost a lot to graduation and unfortunately for them they won only one league game (although ten games overall). I’m not smart enough to know what is going on at the International School but they played just one game last year from what I can see so if they do play at all this year (or whatever year) it will obviously be a rebuild. That said, we will just leave them out of things.
