The Prep Hoops staff is taking a closer look inside Tennessee high school basketball programs, as they gear up for the 2023-2024 season. Our next team feature is the Webb Feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1140737' first='Taveon' last='Comage'] is starting for his third season. Often, Taveon was a secondary scorer though his contributions were many. Comage was always a fantastic rebounder and sound defender, a defender of multiple positions. Comage is the leading returning rebounder with 4.0 rpg. In the State Tournament loss to Notre Dame, TC scored 12 points with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1498078' first='Jax' last='Howard'] is speedy as you need. Sharp with the cuts. Howard played both on and off of the ball last year with [player_tooltip player_id='1368094' first='Arnett' last='Hayes'] on the team. He might get more touches this season. Expect him to play fast and create problems with the pass and dribble. Despite his speed, Jax rarely turns the basketball over.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578700' first='Jedidiah' last='Jarrett'] is a bouncy, tall forward at 6-foot-5. He looks to be a wing, maybe a high school small forward. He showed off some athleticism and activity during the previous AAU season. The frontcourt of Webb will be that much better if he plays assertively, like the upperclassmen that he now is.

As a freshman on a team filled with guard talent, [player_tooltip player_id='2194624' first='Eli' last='Brown'] was a breakout freshman. He scored 8.4 points per night on an encouraging 46% shooting (98-213).

[player_tooltip player_id='2136934' first='Joel' last='Wyatt'] is raw, bouncy. He looks likely to play center or power forward in his first year of major action. Wyatt did get 4 game minutes in the State Tournament appearance. He collected 33 total rebounds during his freshman season. With Stephen Olowoniyi graduating, there are many minutes now available to Joel.

"We have a strong core of returning players who experienced a state tournament run last season," said Head Coach Micah Williams. "Along with some new/young faces that we are extremely excited about. We will be looking to build on last year's success and taking the proper strides to get to the next level of success."
