We’ll start in the Cary area for the SWAC conference, with Green Level ready to make a deep run and some other programs looking to challenge them. Check out our picks for their all-conference team below.
Last Season Stats – 11.0 PPG, 3.1 APG, 2.0 SPG
Cain is a defensive stalwart that really brings a dog-like, competitive mentality to the floor every game. He’s always hounding defenders, up in their stuff and attacking them with fast feet and quick hands. He’s a primary facilitator on offense that creates with the ball in his hands, looking for paint touches and opportunities to dish it out. Capable slasher and scorer around the paint as well.

Last Season Stats – 18.0 PPG, 3.5 APG, 53 3PM
Uwayo is a name that should continue to gain more traction as a quick combo guard that does a bit of everything. I’m most impressed by his ability to change speeds and attack defenders hips with a combination of burst and top end quickness. He’s a capable shotmaker as well, especially out of isolation situations. Also a good shooter from deep whether that’s off the catch or the dribble.
Last Season Stats – 13.7 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 2.4 APG
Ihle is a dual sport athlete that brings his physicality to the court along with some real basketball skill. He’s a great catch and shoot guy who knocks down shots with time and space, and can be found moving well without the ball. His size and strength at 200 pounds allows him to bury people under the rim if he tries to get to the basket as well. Should be a two sport star this season.
Last Season Stats – N/A
James is a huge stockriser from the summer and with the loss of guards in Holly Springs, it should be his show all season long. He’s a strong and athletically talented scorer that makes things happen with the ball in his hands. Elite shotmaker and taker that can either get to the mid-range or downhill and finish strong around the rim. Plus defender and rebounder for his position. All that is missing is a continued improvement in his playmaking and creation for teammates, and then he will be a collegiate star.

Manhertz is a forward that is solid and switchable all over the court and should be a collegiate level prospect very soon. Lefty who can stretch the floor out of pick and pop and general spacing actions. He’s a fairly creative finisher around the rim too, relying more on finesse than pure power. Able to defend well in spurts and has an athletic and physical frame that allows him to switch and guard multiple positions.

Ericksen is a rapidly improving prospect that will continue to get more and more Division 1 looks/offers over the course of the upcoming season. He’s super active and present all over the floor, playing with a high motor and attacking constantly. Solid shooter who has good mechanics and continues to work at it. Still behind with his ball skills, but will get better with time and practice to become an isolation scorer.
