The Mohawks are the team to beat in the division, and Roeder is their best all-around player. He’s a pretty easy selection here.
First Team
2025 Spencer Roeder Spencer Roeder 6'5" | PF Maquette Catholic | 2025 State IA (Marquette Catholic): 12.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 steals, 51.6 FG%, 48.3 3P%, 78.8 FT%
A 6-5/6-6 stretch-4 who can really shoot it, Roeder’s ability to space the floor and protect the painted area makes him extremely valuable for Marquette Catholic. He’s able to get his shot off whenever he wants and has a quick, pure release off the catch.
2024 Michael Gadberry Michael Gadberry 5'9" | PG Lisbon | 2024 State IA (Lisbon): 18.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.8 steals
After being a big-time facilitator as a sophomore, Gadberry took over a primary scoring role last season for the Lions and was great. He’s a quick 5-10 guard who handles it well and uses his quick first step to blow by defenders and get to the rim.
2025 Hakeal Powell Hakeal Powell 5'11" | SG Prince Of Peace | 2025 State IA (Prince of Peace): 17.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.1 steals, 48.4 FG%
An athletic wing who does a great job playing with pace and changing speeds to keep defenders off balance, Powell is really good when he’s playing downhill and attacking the rim. He led the Irish in scoring and steals as a sophomore and provides some good secondary playmaking on the perimeter as well.
2024 Pedar Rohling (Calamus-Wheatland): 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.8 steals
A tough 5-11 scoring guard, Rohling puts pressure on opposing defenders with his ability to get to the rim. He’s a good enough perimeter shooting threat that it needs to be respected, which opens up the rest of his arsenal.
2024 Caden Kettmann Caden Kettmann 6'4" | SG Marquette Catholic Bellevue | 2024 State IA (Marquette Catholic): 8.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.8 blocks
Kettmann’s numbers don’t tell the whole story of how impactful he is for Marquette. He’s a versatile, dominant defender who can guard one through five at this level, and he provides a ton of value and versatility on that end of the floor. He’s also really good on the glass, keeps the ball moving, and can finish through contact at a high clip.
Second Team
