October always ushers in the Fall @PrepHoopsTN Combine. The Battle Ground Academy gym hosted high energy. Read about several of the campers with their evaluations from the day. All of the quoted portions are evaluations from the player’s 5v5 coach, who stayed with them through about 6-7 games (16 min running clock). All measurements/times are listed in the linked article.

Bouncy. Disruptive defensively. Grew into a power forward in height.
Tough, tough. Despite his slender frame, Clay is a bruiser with a high ceiling. Nobody was getting higher or more likely to block a shot than Clay Payne Clay Payne 6'7" | SF University School Of Nashville | 2025 State TN . He was quick with his feet too. Most guys his size block with their height, but he placed himself in good spots with great foot-eye coordination.
The speed and quickness impressed, especially for a 6-foot-5 guard. Clay Payne Clay Payne 6'7" | SF University School Of Nashville | 2025 State TN posted a 3.38-second sprint and a 12.50 second lane agility time. Payne reached 102″ just reaching. That equates to an 8’6″ standing reach. Quite foreboding.

Adept shooter as long as he has his feet under him. Chase is a young guard with a few skills developing: shooting, passing. Court awareness is good. Chase is still improving his speed and strength as he enters high school. His lane agility times (13.33, 13.06) suggest he needs to keep at the change of direction. Getting to the free throw line should be a focus, as he is a better than average shooter.
He can become even more assertive attacking with his dribble.
Check his times in the sprint and agility drills. His foundation for success is impressive.

Floyd grew a few inches in the last year. He was always destined to be play combo guard, or perhaps off-guard. Fittingly his height (6-foot-4) and strength caught up to his skill. As a junior he will be able to overpower some defenders. Should rebound among the league’s best.
Continued explosiveness. Floyd played authoritative. Used his muscle well. Speedier than even 6 months ago.

Osby Cavin Osby Cavin 6'2" | SG Pope Prep | 2026 State TN measured 6-foot-0. Elite shooter. Catch-and-shoot weapon. Pulls up well. Osby MUST be a point guard if he remains 6’0″. With Pope Prep his role will be off of the ball alongside Fred Bailey Fred Bailey 6'1" | PG JPII | 2024 State TN and Trey Pearson Trey Pearson 6'2" | PG Pope Prep | 2026 State TN . He will get open shots this season and that role suits his skills. And yet he will have to prove he does more than hit open shots for college recruiters to invest time. AAU will be important to that end.
Cavin is very thin but does not lack toughness. He was willing to give the body some. A little handsy on defense at times. Quick enough for a sophomore. Keep working on explosiveness.
Elite three-point shooter. While his mid-range efficiency dipped a little bit during the drills, Osby feathered numerous three-pointers through during both the drills and 5v5 play.

Perfect height for the position. Obviously, he needs to add muscle. Scoring in traffic will be mighty difficult if he can’t endure some bumps and nudges. As he gets to the varsity level he will notice some chests and shoulders deterring his drivers. That can be countered with added strength.
Handle is ok though he needs to develop some go-to moves. High level moves that he can go to in a pinch.

Joshua Williams Joshua Williams PG Father Ryan | 2026 TN | SG | Father Ryan | 2026
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2026
- 5’11” PG
- Camp Ranking — #26
Joshua Williams Joshua Williams PG Father Ryan | 2026 TN recorded a fast 3/4 court sprint time (2.80). Keep in mind the court was smaller than an NBA court in length, so that time is not directly comparable to NBA Combine times unlike the Lane Agility. Williams’ Lane Agility times were ok (13.10, 13.18). Joshua’s hands measured slightly bigger than average for a 6ish foot guard (8.5″ x 7.5″).
Lefty. Joshua was impressive showing off his pull-up jumper in the drill portion.
Imari Dewberry | PG | Rockvale | 2025
How did he measure against the competition?

Point guard. Dewberry needs to work on speeding up his feet. The guard is a really quality ball-handler, clever in the lane. Does not make bad passes. Outside shooting was just ok. Dewberry projects as a NAIA lead guard, but again the high-end speed with the dribble needs to improve a touch.
In the last year Imari added muscle. And it helps him fend off defenders. He is more capable in the lane when guys try to bump him. Ideally, he will become both strong and quick. The quickness was not as evident this camp as it was a year prior.
