What better day to focus on 5 basketball players that I’ve never written about? So I’m going to focus on 5 new players to my writing and hopefully celebrate some new connections with some talented players.
Perdue is a terrific all around athlete and multi sport star. He’s a bouncy player that can get off the ground in a hurry. Perdue makes a lot of athletic plays around the rim and has shown the ability to knock down a triple as well. He could be one of the more exciting wings to watch this season.
Ort is another very talented multi sport athlete. He has a nice combination of size and strength on the perimeter and can be a tough defensive matchup. Ort has very good lateral movement and can use his hips to slide by a defender at any time. He brings confidence and toughness to the floor as well.
There seems to be a theme here with multi sport athletes because Brown fits that bill as well. He’s a dangerous combination of power and quick twitch athlete. Brown is at his best when he puts the ball on the floor, attacks the rim and makes plays from there. There aren’t many guards that can drive and dish at the level that he does it at.
Lewis is an exciting forward that started to make some waves with his play this summer. He’s a powerful forward that can attack with a powerful straight line drive and finish through contact. Lewis is a solid 2 way player that can also see the floor and feed his teammates.
Vanderhaag is a talented prospect that deserves to have some eyes on his game. He had a solid grassroots season and probably deserved more press for it. Vanderhaag can attack of the bounce while utilizing both hands while doing so. He’s shown body control and creativity when finishing around the rim.
