In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Morgan Township Cherokees.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 20-6 last season
- Lost to Kouts in Sectionals
- Kevin Krieger returns for 4th year as head coach. 46-21 overall record.
Top Player: Keagen Holder Keagen Holder 6'2" | PG Morgan Township | 2024 State IN
Holder is a 6’2 shooting guard that has always had a great feel for the game. The senior two guard has solid athletic ability and is a talented playmaker that can play on or off of the ball. He also does not get sped up and plays well through contact off of the dribble. Throughout his high school career, he numbers have increased each season and returns this year as the leading scorer for Morgan Township averaging 18.5 points in 26 games last year. I would expect his scoring numbers to get in the mid-20s in his senior season. Small schools showed watch this guy this season.
Other Important Roster Members:
- Jaiden Spratley
- Hayden Grieger
Notable Games (Confirmed)
- at Kankakee Valley (12/7)
- at Tippecanoe Valley (12/8)
- Highland Tournament
- Porter Conference Tournament
- at East Chicago Central (2/17)
