However, today we want to introduce you to five unranked prospects who you may not know much about, but who caught our attention during Comp Edge Fall League action in September.
Below is a review of five “New Names” from southeastern Pennsylvania who impressed us over the first three weeks of contests in the Comp Edge Fall League.
Alex Best – 5’10” / 2024 / Upper Moreland / Philly Revolution / Point Guard: Best is a quick and shifty point guard with elusive dribbling skills. That trifecta of skills enables Best to get into the paint with ease. Once there he can unleash floaters or get to the cup for a lay-in. Best excels at pushing the rock in transition to score or distribute. In the face of full-court pressure, he can also serve as a one man press break. On defense, Best is a tenacious on-ball presence.
Mason Conrad – 6’0” / 2026 / Methacton / East Coast Power / Combo Guard: This three-point sniper does a fantastic job of using his accurate perimeter jump shot to set up drives to the basket. Once Conrad has popped several threes, defenders tend to be out of control when they close on him. In those situations, Conard will use a well-timed head and ball fake to get the defender in the air. Then Conrad will put the ball on the deck and get into the lane for a floater or a finish at the rim. Conrad also owns a high IQ and is a creative passer.
Josh McKoy Josh McKoy 6'5" | PG Berks Catholic | 2024 State PA – 6’4” / 2024 / Berks Catholic / Penn Playmakers / Shooting Guard: McKoy is listed as a shooting guard, but he spends a great deal of time running as the primary ball handler for BC and does it extremely well. With his length and solid frame, McKoy can score over or bully ball most opposing guards. McKoy is super smooth off the dribble. He glides past defenders as he penetrates the lane to score or facilitate for teammates. McKoy will drain three balls as well. At the defensive end, McKoy is an underrated shot blocker.
Parker Nein Parker Nein 6'2" | SG Berks Catholic | 2024 State PA – 6’2” / 2024 / Berks Catholic / Shooting Guard: Playing off the above mentioned McKoy is this high percentage shooting guard who exudes a great deal of swagger. Nein will splash threes of every variety and owns unlimited range on his jumper. Additionally, Nein can fill a lane on the fast break and convert through contact. Lastly, Nein is sneaky athletic and possesses respectable hops.
Wes Robinson – 6’0” / 2026 / Methacton / Total Skills / Point Guard: Robinson is a solidly built lefty with a versatile skill set. As a lead guard, Robinson does a tremendous job of directing a team and facilitating for teammates. Plus, he can get to the cup off the dribble for buckets or to drop a dime on a waiting big. When Robinson slides over to the shooting guard spot, he can knock down triples from all around the arc and blow past his man off the bounce from the wing.
