DeAnthony McJames (Francis Howell): A 6’0″ point guard who will be a big addition to the Vikings backcourt after his transfer from DeSmet. He is a scoring floor general with good quickness and the ability to slice and dice into the lane with his slender frame. He has a nice float game to go along with an effective pull-up jumper. He also has quick hands on the defensive end to pick pockets in the open court.
Jace Evans ( Dangerous Alliance ): An athletic 6’3″ small forward from Wentzville Holt who was bouncing around throughout the game I watched him play on Friday night. His motor was impressive as he put in plenty of work on the offensive boards. He also blocked a number of shots with his good timing. He was a good slashing threat on the offensive end. He also went coast to coast a couple of times off of a rebound or a steal.
Lincoln Swan (Francis Howell): A 6’0″ combo guard who has scorer’s mentality and a nice offensive package to go along with it. He has good speed and he is capable of playing at his own pace. He can break down defenders with his smooth handles to get to the middle area for pull up jumpers. He also has a nice array of floaters and runners, plus he can hit the open 3-pointer.
Tucker Samuels (Clopton): A 6’2″ wing who plays the game with a lot of energy and hustle. He was solid in all facets of the game as he attacked the basket well, especially from the baseline to score. He played off his teammates well with his good movement away from the ball. He was getting to the boards and hustling for loose balls with good tenacity.
Freddy Amad (Magic): A 5’10” point guard from Lindbergh who displayed the ability to make shots. He was knocking down open shots from long range and he also did a good job of handling the offense.
