As someone who prides myself on having a keen eye for talent, I can confidently say that these point guards are some of the stars of high school basketball in Nebraska.
Ammi Williams Ammi Williams 5'10" | PG Bellevue East | 2025 State NE , a talented 5’11” point guard known for his long range jumpshot and defensive toughness. He can dribble thru pressure, runs the offense like a true point guard, and super coachable. As he prepares for his junior season, he’s determined to become stronger, and it’s evident that he’s been putting in the work as he looks more muscular. After a great summer playing AAU basketball with Nebraska Hoops Elite , he’s all set for the upcoming season. Williams has been playing varsity since a freshman, but now the pathway is clear for Ammi to establish himself as a top point guard in Class A action.
Mari Shumaker Mari Shumaker 5'11" | PG Lincoln Southwest | 2025 NE , 5’11” point guard who excels using speed and energy. He has a slick crossover and an excellent ability to finish plays, but what sets him apart is his talent in finding open teammates. Mari is not just a fun player to watch, but also a great asset in driving the team forward by always pushing the ball up the court. He also possesses a reliable jump shot that adds to his skillset. CJ Mitchell CJ Mitchell 5'10" | PG Omaha Westside | 2024 State NE has been a standout player on the Westside team since his first year. He shows a remarkable level of maturity in his game. His jump shot is smooth and reliable, enabling him to score those critical baskets, but he is also unafraid to drive to the rim and finish strong. CJ is not just a scorer. He is a team player who makes intelligent passes and maintains control on the court. He handles pressure situations in a calm manner and his defensive skills are strong. Mitchell’s game is exceptionally mature, which makes him a vital player for Westside.

Neal Mosser Neal Mosser 6'2" | SG Millard North | 2024 State NE is an absolute sharpshooter. He has ball-handling skills that allow him to spot an open teammate near the basket. His composure under pressure is soild, consistently making smart passes. Neal operates within the team’s offense seamlessly, making him an expierienced point guard. With multiple state championships under his belt, he’s well-prepared for the next level of competition. Mosser’s proficiency and championship experience make him a standout player ready to make his mark at the next level.
