These are all players that will have our attention throughout the school season as well as AAU season for any recruiting development or opportunities we can generate.
Jacob King Jacob King 6’6″ | PF Morgantown | 2024 State WV has been around for Morgantown for a couple of years and made some contributions to the past success. But nothing like the contributions he’s about to make in the coming months. The 6’6″ or 6’7″ deadly sharp-shooting wing has obviously improved his game and became more assertive on offense as well as ratcheting up his defensive side. While Sharron Young Sharron Young 6’0″ | PG Morgantown | 2024 State #292 Nation WV is the key cog for Motown, King will be the X-Factor in their long term success. He poses a serious mismatch for most opponents even at the 4A level.

Demarcus Bandy Demarcus Bandy 6'0" | CG University | 2025 State WV
Demarcus Bandy Demarcus Bandy 6’0″ | CG University | 2025 State WV is a high rising prospect that has untapped potential and well above average athletic ability. Bandy’s signature moment in front of us was back-to-back breakaway dunks as result of steals vs the BlueChips team. The rising 2025 guard is very close to being on a broad recruiting radar. That should develop along with his game.
Carson Ford Carson Ford 6'2" | CG University | 2024 State WV
Carson Ford Carson Ford 6'2" | CG University | 2024 State WV
Carson Ford Carson Ford 6’2″ | CG University | 2024 State WV took full advantage of his first time in front of us. He absolutely blistered the nets from every level and helped carry University HS to victory. Great feel for the game and scorers mentality, Carson can wear his floor general hat when necessary and balance the floor for his team on the offensive end. An impressive and sizeable guard in WV’s top division. Carson currently holds a D3 offer from PSU-Allegheny.
Awaski Opoku
Awaski Opoku
Awaski Opoku is lightning in a bottle. The 2026 point guard just buzzes around the floor creating havoc on defense and pushes the ball on offense to scorers. He uses his quickness very well to rebound long caroms and either continue posessions or to lead a break. His teammates know if they fill lanes he will find them. A very promising young prospect with a great feel for the game and does so many things effortlessly. We’re anxious to track his progress.
Loakkhae Uth-Smith Loakkhae Uth-Smith 6'4" | SG Spring Mills | 2025 State WV
Loakkhae Uth-Smith Loakkhae Uth-Smith 6'4" | SG Spring Mills | 2025 State WV
Loakkhae Uth-Smith Loakkhae Uth-Smith 6’4″ | SG Spring Mills | 2025 State WV we’ve highlighted before and once again he shows up in our reviews. An up and coming guard with great length and athleticism, Uth-Smith can guard multiple spots as well as put defenses under pressure when he’s on offense. As his skill levels rise, so will his recruitment.
Jonathan Shrewsberry
Jonathan Shrewsberry
Jon Shrewsberry is possibly one of the next stars at Morgantown HS. As Young and King will demand alot of defensive attention, we’d look for Shrewsberry to have a very solid season. Solid shooter, ball handler and defender, all which are synonymous with playing for the Mohigans, Shrewsberry has the tools to be the lead horse for Morgantown when necessary. Certainly would surprise nobody if this 2024 prospect was to play himself onto a D3 roster.
