Braeden Pitts
Braeden Pitts
2024 Braeden Pitts was a fresh face that caught my eye while filming. Good size, I lost track of how many 3 balls he knocked down but I’m guessing it was 5/6. He’s one of the most confident shooters I seen in a while, especially at the high school level. There was a play that stood out and it went like this. He put up a 3 ball, missed it, his team got the offensive rebound and kicked it back out to him and he immediately put up another 3 ball and drained it. This type of confidence is unheard of in high school and it tells me he is ready for the next level. Long frame at 6’4 he plays defense well and rebounds as well. Make sure he’s on your radar as Lewisville iSchool gave me powerhouse vibes at Gaso.
Njoroge Nganga
Njoroge Nganga
6’6 Njoroge Nganga is a unique prospect at Big Tyme Prep Academy. At 6’6 he’s a fluent wing that can shoot the 3 or take you off the dribble. What’s impressive about his game is how much he’s able to contribute with such low ball usage. His mastered his catch and shoot. He has a crazy wingspan that makes him dangerous in transition and if he gets loose, he’ll dunk on whoever’s in front of him. NJ’s upside is crazy and he’s only a 2025, make sure he is on your radar this season
Raken Vargas
Raken Vargas
2025 Raken is technically a point guard but had himself a weekend and deserves to be mentioned with the names. Physical guard, uses his body and footwork to get to his spots and will knock down most of his midrange shots. He’s a bucket for sure, also draining a high percentage from the arc. Defensively he uses his IQ and quick hands to create transition offense. He caught my attention just after a couple plays and I had to confirm that yes he is that guy and should be on your radar at Empowering Others Prep this year.

Cameroon Woodberry Cameroon Woodberry 6'6" | SG PSAT Academy | 2024 TX
6’5 Cameroon Woodberry Cameroon Woodberry 6’6″ | SG PSAT Academy | 2024 TX stand out on his physical appearance by default. New age type of wing that uses his strength on both sides to impact the game. Defensively was his bread and butter blocking shots, getting in passing lanes and forcing up bad shots from his opponent. Offensively attacks the bucket hard and finishes with more then average court vision assist wise, he also adds some offensive rebounds and put backs to the post area. I like his game and you should have him on your radar at Good Vision prep this year.
Sire Mauvais
Sire Mauvais
6’5 Sire Mauvais is a guy who isn’t talked about enough. This kid is extremely athletic, maybe the bounciest kid I’ve seen yet. His vertical is a reported 40 inches and he uses that in every aspect of his game. Explosive guard that’s hard to stay in front of, once he gets that step on you lookout he’s not here for layups. He throws down crazy dunks and finishes every time he hits the court. In addition to his offensive abilities, that same vertical makes him a excellent rebounder and shot blocker on the other side. He also can guard the 1-5 using his long wingspan. Sire is a great prospect for the next level, make sure he’s on your radar at Tribulations Prep this year.
6’5 Jermaine O’Neal Jr Jermaine O’Neal Jr 6’5″ | SF Dynamic Prep Academy | 2025 State #71 Nation TX . Who looks like he may be 6’6 now and still growing definitely lived up to the hype this weekend. He was on limited minutes due to a personal issue but was able to light up when he did play. He’s obviously been around the game long enough to have a crazy IQ and skill level being the son of a NBA all star. This kid is a bucket and has really came into his own as one of the smoothest players in the state regardless of class. Offensively he needs no space to operate, he’s mastered created his own space with using his footwork and body to get to his spot every time. His mid range is pro like, he elevates over the defender and knocks down a high percentage of them. His 3 ball has seen major improvements lately seems like he doesn’t miss an open look anymore which is a big plus to his stock rising. Jermaine is more nationally known for sure but he’s still one you want to have on your radar for the season as he’ll be leading the offense over at Dynamic Prep this year.
Tahaad Davis
Tahaad Davis
6’3 Tahaad Davis was apart of one of my favorite duos last weekend. He’s a kid that you can tell is a baller before the game even starts. The first thing I noticed about him is that he is the vocal leader of his squad which isn’t always easy when your carrying weight on both sides like him. 2 way wing, he was just as impressive defensively as offensively. Long athletic frame, he made several open court plays that lead to easy transition buckets. He also is quite the rebounder as well. Offensively he’s a slasher but will knock down jump shots if needed. Tahaad is one to have one your radar for the 24′ season, he’ll be lacing up at Honor Armour prep.
2024 DarKaun King DarKaun King 6’7″ | PF TACA | 2024 State TX is a familiar face. Unlike alot of players, it seems like he actually improves his game the better the competition level is. Gaso was a good test for him and he answered any questions about his game that may still remain. Sharp around the basket, he’ll use his size to bang or face up and use one of his several bag moves. He’s also becoming a really good midrange shooter preparing for the next level, he doesn’t need much space and if he feels crowded he doesn’t mind creating his own space. Overall Darkaun will carry the wing/post presence at Taca this season and is a must have on your radar.
