Jacob Canton Jacob Canton 6'2" | PG Rutgers Prep | 2027 NJ , 6’2 PG Rutgers Prep
Canton is one of the top prospects in the 2027 class and should put it on display this season. The 6’2 guard uses his handle effectively as he beats his defender off the bounce and finishes in a number of ways around the rim. Canton doesn’t get rattled by on-ball pressure and can find his open teammates in the halfcourt. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet on the defensive end. Canton is a talented guard prospect who should make plays all season long for the Argonauts.
Tahir Conner Tahir Conner 5'11" | PG Union Catholic | 2027 State NJ , 5’11 PG St. Joe’s Metuchen
Conner has the potential to make an impact in his debut season with his ability to run the offense. The 5’11 guard has a good handle and plays with good court vision in the halfcourt. Conner finishes nicely around the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. He plays with poise on the ball and can get deflections on the defensive end. Conner’s ability to handle the ball and involve his teammates will help his stock in a big way this winter.
Avery Lynch Avery Lynch 6'6" | SG St. Rose | 2027 State NJ , 6’3 SG St. Rose
Lynch joins a talented Purple Roses’ backcourt, but that will not stop him from making an impact this season. The 6’3 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Lynch moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He can also put the ball on the floor and is an underrated defender. Lynch’s ability to stretch the floor will help his development throughout the 2023-24 season.
Anthony Mauro Anthony Mauro 6'0" | PG College Achieve | 2027 State NJ , 5’9 PG College Achieve
Mauro will be a prospect to watch in Central Jersey with his ability to play on and off the ball. The 5’9 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to beat his man off the bounce and finish in a number of ways around the basket. Mauro is more than just a slasher as he has a good shooting stroke and sets his feet before he shoots. He slides his feet on defense and is an underrated passer. Mauro is a scoring guard prospect whose ability to score the ball in a variety of ways is something that will help his game throughout the season.
Rey Weinseimer Rey Weinseimer 6'0" | PG Manasquan | 2027 State NJ , 5’10 PG Manasquan
Weinseimer will have the ball in his hands at times during the 2023-24 season, which will help his development. The 5’10 guard attacks the basket strong as he can finish through contact and has a nice touch in the paint. Weinseimer knows how to get to his spot on the floor and wastes little motion in his jumper. He works hard on the defensive end and is a good passer. Weinseimer’s ability to make plays with the ball in his hands will help his stock in his debut varsity season.
