Today we will be focusing on the junior class and make our way down to the freshmen by the end of the week.
The 6-3 junior guard has an excellent dose of athleticism and speed to his game where he is slick when he has the basketball in his hands. Izard has excellent body control as well when finishing around the rim and is unafraid to finish with contact going to the free throw line. He has continued to improve his game from the perimeter as well displaying a lot of confidence where he can score off the bounce and catch. On the defensive side, Izard rebounds well for his size and is quick to get the ball in transition.
The 6-1 junior guard makes a significant impact at both ends of the floor. He has accurate passing skills where he can find open teammates on the move, even in tight windows. He also adds a smooth shooting stroke to his game where he can score on all three levels. On the defensive end, Ferguson adds a ton of scrappiness where he makes hustle plays and diving after the loose ball. His all-around skillset make him a chance to be one of our top under the radar prospects heading into the season.
Highlights
The 6-8 junior power forward is dangerous around the rim on the offensive end where he can catch lobs as well as finish put-backs off misses. His mid-range shot has continued to improve as he is starting to expand his versatility into becoming a multi-level scorer. On the defensive end, he does a good job at challenging shots around the rim using his length and size to an advantage. Johnson also does a great job at rebounding and cleaning up the glass limiting the opposition into taking second chances. He averaged a double-double last season as a sophomore for Gateway Charter.
The 6-5 junior guard originally from France makes some really significant plays on the offensive end as can make strong passes on the move as well as show off his athleticism around the rim. On the defensive end, Massamba shows off his length where he can guard multiple positions and rebounds well from the weak side, as well as challenge shots at the front of the rim. Massamba has huge upside heading into this season as we could start seeing some college coaches peak interest in him.
The 6-6 junior combo guard does a great job at dictating the tempo on the offensive end, as he plays with a high IQ. Martis makes the right decision when he has the ball in his hands on whether to shoot versus pass the ball. On the defensive end, he is a strong rebounder using his athleticism to his advantage as well as covering a lot of ground in the half-court. Martis transferred from Calvary Christian Academy to Windermere Prep over the summer.
The 6-5 junior wing has a high ceiling heading into the season as he brings athleticism, length and speed to his offensive game. He can play multiple positions whether it’s the primary point guard or playing in the post as he plays under control. On the defensive end, Wilson does a great job when it comes to challenging shots at the front of the rim as well as high-level rebounding. He is unafraid to play through contact where he added a ton of strength during the off-season. His court vision is something to also take note of as he is a strong and accurate passer while on the move.
