The Tri-County Conference featured a couple of teams that made runs in the postseason last season and should do so again in 2023-24. Here are the 2024 Tri-County Conference prospects to watch this season.
Merle Hans Merle Hans 5'10" | PG Wildwood | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 PG Wildwood
Hans has been a big part of Wildwood’s offense over the last couple of seasons and should do so again in 2023-24. The 5’10 guard has lightning quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finish around the basket. Hans has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He gets deflections on defense and pushes the pace well in transition. Hans had two 30-point games in his junior season and that number should increase in his senior season.
Anthony Farmer Anthony Farmer 5'10" | PG Salem | 2024 State NJ , 5’10 PG Salem
Farmer has the potential for a breakout senior season with his ability to finish around the basket. The 5’10 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of contact. Farmer can also score in the mid-range and can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He is a good rebounder for a guard his size and moves his feet on defense. Farmer is a gritty guard prospect whose ability to finish around the basket is something that will help his game in a big way this season.
Sami Anderson Sami Anderson 6'1" | SG Timber Creek | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 SG Timber Creek
Anderson will get more touches in the Chargers’ offense as they have to replace two of their top three scorers from last season. The 6’1 guard has a good shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and sets his feet before he shoots. Anderson is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is an underrated passer and works hard on the defensive end. Anderson is a breakout candidate in South Jersey with his ability to score inside and out.
Chris Grier Chris Grier 6'7" | C Overbrook | 2024 State NJ , 6’7 C Overbrook
Grier will be the go-to guy for the Rams down low, which will help his development in a big way. The 6’7 post works hard on the glass at both ends of the floor, creating second chance opportunities for his team. Grier uses his size to influence shots around the rim and sets good screens in the halfcourt. He knows how to get position down low and finishes nicely around the basket. Grier is a physical, post prospect whose ability to impact shots around the rim will help his game in a big way this season.
Leo Impagliazzo Leo Impagliazzo 6'1" | CG Triton | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 SG Triton
Impagliazzo had a big junior campaign for Triton and should have an even bigger senior season. The 6’1 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and make plays. Impagliazzo has a nice touch in the mid-range and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. He plays with good instincts on the defensive end and is comfortable pushing the pace in transition. Impagliazzo’s versatility is something that will help his game in a big way throughout the 2023-24 season.
