While I was watching the athletes compete out there in each contest, I like to take small “live” notes, explaining somethings about the player and their performance in that moment. Below I will be highlighting players that stood out to me from afar, while stating what their “live notes” were during their games.
*Players listed as: (Jersey #, Name, Class, Size, College Position, Current High School) – For rewatching purposes on BallerTV.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
#248 – Kenyon Simmons Kenyon Simmons 6'3" | SG Timberline | 2025 State WA – 2025 – 6’3 – CG – Timberline High School
“Nicely sized guard with superior athleticism at the position to most. Shifty with the ball going down the floor in transition while being good enough to bring the ball out and run the offense if he chooses. Doesn’t favor any certain side during his attack. Consistent producer from 2/3 levels on the offensive side of the floor. Overall, well rounded prospect.”
#340 – Ian Prictor – 2024 – 6’7 – Forward – Mountain View High School
“A Forward that displays a high ceiling on the basketball court from the small sample size I saw from him. Fantastic in the pick and roll. Rolls to the hoop with intent every single time. Understands when to dive to the hoop for a post compared to going to the mid-post and working his way in, off of the dribble. Shows skill going over either shoulder, scoring with either hand in the paint. Displays a great second jump for rebounding and put-back purposes.”
#262 – Jacob Layton Jacob Layton 6'1" Sammamish | 2024 WA – 2024 – 6’1 – SG – Sammamish High School
“Lengthy guard who keeps it simple. Knows how to drop a defender off of the dribble with his timing and body movement more than anything else. Can pull up off of the catch or dribble in the blink of an eye, if his defender doesn’t have a hand up to contest. Isn’t someone who will kill you will flash but he is smooth and calculated, making all of his moves very, “buyable”, from a defenders point of view.”
#327 – Isaiah Chavez – 2025 – 5’8 – PG – Bonney Lake High School
“Shooter. Always ready to let it fly or get to a dribble move where he can blow by his defender for an easy finish at the rim for a better look. Would rather pull up for 3 in transition then get to the hoop but it’s acceptable because he makes A LOT of shots he takes from the outside. Understands when to pass up a good look, for a better one from a teammate. Crafty for his size in every definition of the word.”
#291 – Julian Ibarra Julian Ibarra 6'4" | SG Quincy | 2024 State WA – 2024 – 6’4 – CG – Quincy High School
“Kid moves WELL. Understands his pace and what he needs to do, to beat the defender in front of him. Will ALWAYS make the extra pass but also has some skill himself with the ball in his hands. Has good size at 6’4 but more importantly, great muscle mass with that size. Does a good job of attacking and keeping himself between the ball and the opponent. Takes care of mismatches on a regular basis throughout the duration of a contest.”
#259 – Caleb Berry Caleb Berry 5'11" | PG Todd Beamer | 2024 State WA – 2024 – 5’11 – Todd Beamer High School
“Flat. Out. Bucket. Someone who comes in the game and is ready to let it fly from anywhere. When he lets it go, wherever it is, it has a chance on going in. Has excellent touch on the ball from all distances as well off the attack. Works hard on defense and stays disciplined against bigger players. Doesn’t gamble for steals too often, if he does, he usually gets a touch on it. Very impressed with his overall performance on the day.”
#228 – Avidan West Avidan West 6'0" | CG Northwest Christian (Colbert) | 2025 State WA – 2025 – 6’0 – Northwest Christian High School
“Someone that I would personally love to coach. Type of player to pick up an opponent in the full court without being asked, just to display his active defense and skill. Keeps his hands to himself and contests at the right time, whenever his defender is trying to get downhill to attack the rim. Keeps it simple on offense and doesn’t force anything, bringing him success a majority of the time.”
#247 – Anthony Williams Anthony Williams 6'4" | SG Chief Sealth | 2025 State WA – 2025 – 6’3 – CG – Line High School
“The way he plays is like a vet out there. Keeps it simple but aggressive. Scores when he sees fit. Works just as hard to beat his opponent to their spots on each possession. Isn’t afraid of contact but has skill moves to avoid it if need be. A player that seemed to have a more “put together” game then most on the day at this event.”
#305 – Ethan Harris Ethan Harris 6'7" | SF Camas | 2026 State WA – 2026 – 6’7 – SF – Camas High School
“You want to talk about a tall dude with a high ceiling? Ethan Harris Ethan Harris 6'7" | SF Camas | 2026 State WA is the name. 6’7 and can shoot that thing at a high/consist rate. His mixture of height and reach, making it almost impossible to guard his catch-and-shoot 3 from deep. If he is put into the correct system in high school and college, he will succeed. There is no way a player like this, with this balanced shooting skill-set, doesn’t make a huge impact in the right situation. Bright future.”
