Continue ReadingElite prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond) continue the annual ritual of announcing that they will be changing high schools for next year. With the NCAA transfer portal jamming up high school recruiting, we expect the steady stream of talented players switching schools to continue here in the first week of September. Many of these prospects will choose to reclass into a later graduation year.
At Prephoops.com we will do our best to track all the player movements and pass that information on to our readers.
Below is the fourteenth installment in our Transfer Watch 2023 series and it includes some big names.
Collin Bowman – 6’3″ / Post Grad / Olympus Prep (NJ) / Team Final Red / Wing: A three-year starter at Friends Central, Bowman can produce buckets from all over the court. This lefty is a legitimate three-point threat. Plus, he can put the ball on the deck, get into the paint, absorb contact, and still convert. Bowman also has a point-forward element to his game. He recorded a season best 17 points (3 triples) against Kohelet Yeshiva (PA). Bowman has enrolled at Olympus Prep (NJ) for a postgraduate year.
Alier Maluk Alier Maluk 7'0" | PF Long Island Lutheran | 2025 State #62 Nation NY – 6’11″ / 2025 / Long Island Lutheran (NY) / Wildcat Select / Small Forward: Maluk is a mobile and surprisingly fast big man with a liquid jump shot. He also possesses the athleticism to navigate through traffic, then dunk on an opponent’s head. In 2022-23 he averaged 15 ppg. while guiding Imani Cristian to the WPIAL championship and the PIAA 1A state title. He was our No. 6 ranked 2025 prospect and is ranked as high as No. 21 nationally. Maluk holds offers a slew of offers including ones from Maryland, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, and LSU. Maluk is a tremendous pick up for “LuHi.”
Jermai Stewart-Herring – 6’5″ / Post Grad / Choate (CT) / Philly Pride UAA / Wing: After an impressive 2022-23 regular season (13 ppg. & 4 rpg.; 37.5% on threes; PCL Title and 2nd Team All-PCL selection), Stewart-Herring played outstanding ball on the spring and summer grassroots circuits. Now he will take his talents to Choate for a post graduate year. He is a phenomenal athlete who thrives in the open court and can finish with authority. In the half-court, Stewart-Herring can score at all three levels.
Tyler Wallace Tyler Wallace 6'3" | CG Phelps School | 2026 State PA – 6’3″ / 2026 / Phelps School / NY Wiz Kids / Combo Guard: Wallace is a multi-skilled prospect who can shoot threes, score in the mid-range and rebounds well for a guard. During his freshman season at Archbishop Stepinac (NY) he helped push Stepinac to the CHSAA-NY title. In addition to transferring to Phelps School, Wallace will reclass into the 2026 graduate year.
