Conference Commentary
Top Ten: Dawson-Boyd
Dawson-Boyd has the size and All State caliber player in Brayson Boike Brayson Boike 6'8" | PF Dawson Boyd | 2025 State #326 Nation MN , They are the favorite going in to the year but keep in mind, they lost four seniors that were a key part of their rotation. They will be favored over a team like CMC but CMC has a lot back although they don’t have a Brayson Boike Brayson Boike 6'8" | PF Dawson Boyd | 2025 State #326 Nation MN .
Top Ten Potential: Central Minnesota Christian, MACCRAY
CMC has four starters back from an 18 win team and are ready for a title run in the Camden. And maybe a top ten spot in state. MACCRAY was 13-14 last season but with all of their top guys back they have a chance to push to 6-7 more wins and be a contender.
Compete with Most: Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg, LQPV, TMB, Minneota
KMS has Holloway back to get triple doubles and Jared Cortez to handle guard duties. They will not be in the same area as CMC in their respective class (KMS is a Class AA school now) but KMS will have the same shot to win the conference with who they have returning. LQPV should took that nine win mark and nearly double it as all their top guys are back. Trevor Smith Trevor Smith 6'0" | SG TMB | 2025 State MN should have TMB making a big step forward from an 8-win year.
Rebuilding: Ortonville, Renville County West, Lakeview, Canby, Yellow Medicine East
Ortonville won one game last year and none in the league so its a rebuild. RCW has some talent back so they should take a step from last year’s four wins. Lakeview lost a star in Nathan Fenske plus they lost a senior dominated group so they are in a reset. Canby was a .500 club last year but they lost their all league seniors.
