Here we’ll have a team profile on them and some scouting reports on their squad. The team is coached by Elijah Valdez. They’re a team that is hard not to get behind with their style of play and effort and energy they bring. They bring a high-pressure, trapping defense, where they will fly around and contest shooters. Offensively, they will move the ball around and share the ball. The team consists of guards that can score and make plays for others and long wings/forwards that play with toughness.

Let’s get to know the team and the prospects’ standout traits!
Below is their roster from Prep Hoops Rocky Mountain Mayhem.
Trey Thomason — Trey is a high-level playmaker for the team and is heavily counted on for the team to be successful. An offensive weapon that is a legitimate three-level scorer, but also brings it defensively. Elite fluidity and great movement in all directions. Handles the ball skillfully with an array of handling moves. He can handle the point and be a threat to attack off the dribble, often getting the defender on their heels. An elite floater game where he’ll put it up overtop the D for a bucket. A college-level prospect with his offensive skill set and athleticism and movement ability.
Daniel Cabeen Daniel Cabeen 6'3" | SF Rock Canyon | 2024 State CO — Cabeen is a workhorse on the court. A versatile prospect with some solid size and length. A highly creative scorer in the post and in the lane. A multitude of ways to score in the lane, where he can power through contact or score in a finesse manner. Goes at the defense and is a high-level finisher off of the glass. He draws contact for a foul or will finish. Moves without the ball and brings an energy to the team. Crashes the boards and earns a lot of his opportunities. Catches the ball at the high post and then goes to work on his defender, normally attacking hard to his dominant left hand. Tyler Forester Tyler Forester 6'3" | SG Highlands Ranch | 2024 CO — Forester makes his money from the three-point line where he cannot be left open off of his catch and shoot opportunities. Not just a three-point threat, but an overall solid game with skill and IQ. Good size for a 2-guard. A solid handle on the ball, in which he can shoot off the dribble and pull-up as well. A skilled passer that passes the ball with ease and will drive and kick to keep the action moving. Jacob Martinez — I only saw him play in one game, so let’s let his game speak below with some recent highlights!
Jorge Contreras — Contreras’ defensive effort and positioning/awareness stood out to me. Offensively, he does an excellent job of finding the open teammate for buckets. Not a flashy passer, but he’s one that picks up effective dime-passes to his teammates. Saw him go off the dribble and make quick on-target passes to cutters.
Drew Dodge Talich — Drew is a guard that will bring effort on the defensive side of the ball. Does a good job at applying pressure on the ball-handler, especially in dead-ball situations. Will box-out and a guy that does all the little things right.
Aidan Snody — Snody has some solid length and is an effective interior defender that uses that length. He will box out consistently and fight for the ball for boards. Always looking to find a body when the ball goes up. Also, isn’t afraid of contact and will contest at the hoop, affecting the shot with his length. He will fire it up from three and is capable of knocking them down. He will sprint the floor hard and crash the offensive glass, as well.
Pranith Bhat — Bhat is a smaller guard, but he’s a prospect that brings good defensive positioning and overall alertness and effort on that end.
Olin Anderson — Anderson is a skilled ball-handler from the point guard spot. Plays will good overall quickness and speed. Great court vision and can make some skilled passes to his teammates for buckets in the lane. Quick hands and anticipation. Gets into the heart of the defense in the lane and becomes a playmaker. Can also shoot the three.
