Our next team feature is the Westminster Academy Lions, out of the greater South Florida area. The Lions had their 2022-2023 season come to an end in the Class 3A, Region 4 Finals against eventual state champion Riviera Prep.
Head Coach: Ehren Wallhoff, 22nd Season
Class: 3A
2022-2023 Record: 21-8
Key Returners: Alexander Lloyd 6-4 SG (2025). The junior guard is a highly talented two-way prospect who can make havoc on both ends of the floor. Lloyd has a combination skillset of scoring off the bounce and off the catch. He brings a smooth presence where he can score at the front of the rim as well as from beyond the arc. On the defensive end, Lloyd is very active in the passing lanes where he averaged nearly two steals per game for Westminster Academy last season as a sophomore. He also has good passing and ball-handling skills for his size.
Key Returners: Alex Constanza 6-8 SG (2026). The 6-8 sophomore wing has a very smooth game for his size whether he’s finishing around the rim or occasionally shooting from the mid-range. Constanza has gained more confidence in shooting from beyond the arc where he shot at a respectable percentage last season as a freshman. He does a great job at facilitating for his teammates as well as having a smooth handle on the basketball. His high IQ and versatility have sparked a lot of attention from the college coaches so far in the summer and fall.
Key Returners: Dwayne Wimbley 6-7 SF (2025). The 6-7 junior plays with a load of energy on both ends of the floor whether it’s being active in the passing lanes or his furious finishes around the rim. Wimbley is an athletic wing who rebounds exceptionally well and is quick to get the basketball in transition. Wimbley has also continued to expand his range on the offensive end and has now become a viable threat from beyond the arc. Wimbley holds offers from FIU, Jacksonville, James Madison, Mercer and several others.
Sleeper Prospect: Jeremiah Police 6-6 SF (2024). Police has been a consistent source of production since the start of his sophomore season. He is becoming a viable scoring threat across all three levels and is a high-level rebounder on both ends of the floor. Police can finish put-backs as well as lobs at the front of the rim at a very high level where he shot 62 percent from the field as a junior last season. Police has emerged as one of the top two-way players in the senior class where he will continue to draw attention from college coaches.
