Clepper was a participant in the top 40 game, he played consistent basketball for the two day event. He’s a quality point guard with speed, handles, and knows how to run a team. He has vision and he makes good decisions. He uses his speed and handles to break down a defender, get into the paint for dishes, dump-off, and kick-outs. He has a paint jumper, and floater. He comes at you hard from different angles, mostly from the top, and in transition where he uses his speed to put pressure on defenses, and challenge bigs to block his shot. His quick hands, and feet can be disruptive to any ball handler bringing it up court.
We saw Vaucher a few weeks ago where he was a top performer. He was effective without stuffing the stat sheet. He has a long wingspan and a frame to fill. He rebounds and can effect shooters with his lengthy arms contesting 3’s along the perimeter. He had multiple finishes around the rim including dunks. He’s showing his handles in transition after rebounding, with good decision making and passing. He has the range to knock down 3’s in transition, and setting up along the perimeter.
Highlights
He put the ball in the basket on Saturday scoring 13 and 12pts in his 2 games. The transfer from Modesto Christian to Lincoln, in Stockton. He’s starting to show himself a bit at this event, he played his way into the top 40 game with 3 solid games, but didn’t play. At 6’5 he’s a good size shooting guard, a bit on the streaky side, but he can make shots. He can get hot using off the dribble pull-ups, 3ptrs in transition, setting up along the perimeter for the catch 3’s and slashing to the basket. We’ll keep an eye on him.
He was a day one standout, if he played on Sunday there’s every indication he would have been in the top 20 game. He’s an athletic 6’7 versatile wing type player who can be a factor in any given game when he puts it all together. He’s a multi-positional player, that can produce points in different ways. He handles to create, passes to involve others, and scores inside with athleticism and strength. We’ve seen him snatch rebounds, defend in the post. He’s a double double prospect at this level. He transferred from Vallejo to St. Patrick-St. Vincent.
Kenny Cloud
Kenny Cloud
It was our first look at Cloud. He has good guard skills, and moves at a good pace. He’s an excellent ball handler, has good change of direction, body control and can get to the basket to finish lay-ups and sometimes reverses. He showed a quick first step, and an off the dribble mid-range jumper. He’s on the Watch List.
