<p>There are a lot of really good players in this class, several of whom made a big impact on their varsity teams as ninth graders. But even more impressed on the spring and summer circuit. This list combines both to give a first look at impressive 2026s.</p>

<p>Ordering the top six players was particularly difficult. We tried to weigh accomplishment at the varsity level as a ninth grader, impression on the club circuit and perceived “ceiling.” So we anticipate a lot of rearranging of this list over the next couple of years.</p>

<p>This new list contains 30 names from across the state, headed by Maize High's [player_tooltip player_id='2208970' first='Brayden' last='Myovela'] (pictured) who followed up a big freshman season with an impressive club season.</p>

<p>The inaugural group includes 19 guards, 8 forwards and 3 centers.</p>

<p>Check out the Collegiate High School trio who all were slotted in the top 11 of the class. And be sure to see some of the other small-school players who already made a big varsity splash last year, led by 1A Frankfort's [player_tooltip player_id='2211366' first='Wes' last='Anderson'].</p>
