Shooting

The amount of players that could spread the floor wit their shooting was off the charts as every team had more than a handful of players that were able to spread the floor, catch and shoot and just make open buckets. One player that really stood out in particular was [player_tooltip player_id='1530695' first='Mason' last='Rasmussen'] (Desert Hills) Mason was feeling it and what he did was just a glimpse into hsi high IQ. Mason was asking for screens and waited for players to go under or come out slow on their recovery and he was hitting and he was hitting beyond the arc. With taht kind of shooting and some size at the SG position he could really help his team this winter.

Young Talent

There were a lot of young players trying to hang with some upper classman and some really made you look twice because they were holding their own. [player_tooltip player_id='2194424' first='Avery' last='Howe'] (Lehi) showed some grit and potential as a grab and go big that has some shake to his handle. He is still thin as a Class of 2027 prospect but you can see growth in his game in all facets. He plays both ends of the floor and he was doing some really good things. [player_tooltip player_id='2084384' first='Camden' last='Broadhead'] (Lone Peak) is a lanky forward with a lot of potential. His activity on the glass is something that he can really lean into. When he was active he was doing great things and he was getting easy put-backs. When he learns how to wall up defensively he is going to learn who he could jump with and what players he can just put his hands up and expect a miss.

Impressive Play

There were a few players that really made an impact and played very well. One player who stood out off the bat with his defense and offensive skill-set was [player_tooltip player_id='1554674' first='Otavio' last='Armani'] (Layton Christian Academy). Otavio was using his strength and active hands on defense to really make it hard for anyone to get beyond him and he was hitting in the perimeter and in the paint and he even showcased his above the rim play as well. [player_tooltip player_id='1551344' first='Brogan' last='Miles'] out of Maple Mountain was likely the fastesT kid out ther ein all aspect of his game. He was speedy with the ball in his hands and those quick moves allowed him to get into the paint at will. This kid was impressive. He has a really high motor and he is a true PG that makes everyone around him better. NWAC schools you must contact ASAP!.
