Saturday’s Top250Expo Event provided student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against top talent in front of PH Scouts. Let’s get into some of our Top Paint Beast Prospect Standouts from throughout the event this weekend in Longwood, FL.
Willie Thompson
Willie Thompson
Thompson was really active on both ends of the ball at the Top250Expo and was simply eating in the paint. After reviewing the game film from this weekend, Thompson is stamped as a versatile forward that can handle and shoot the rock and be dominant on the block. Impressed with his motor and effort throughout the event as well.
Hendrix Loughridge
Hendrix Loughridge
One of the longer framed prospects to attend the Top250Expo standing around 6-foot-7 with a lengthy wingspan. Loughridge exerted his height and was effective on the boards while deterring layup attempts. He flashed decent athleticism to finish a couple of dunks as well.
If there was a standout award for effort and field goal percentage, Sean James Sean James 6’5″ | SF Trinity Catholic | 2025 FL would be in the running for both. Each game he ran up and down the court with a good motor and didn’t stay stationary but constantly moved while looking to find his spots. He finished most of his layup opportunities which were the bulk of his points, hinting at the high field goal percentage. Was also impressed with his ability to guard various positions and force guards to take tough shots.
Axel Acevedo
Axel Acevedo
Had to add Acevedo on the Paint Beast Standout List after reviewing the film from the Top250Expo event where he was able to use his size and physicality to rack up points in the paint. He’s a riser prospect in the Polk County area that will be looking to generate some interest around his recruitment this fall season. Just check the film: good motor, active hands, and crashes the boards on both ends.
Hans Dorleus
Hans Dorleus
Jordan Christian Prep had a few ballers attend the event and have a solid roster to make some noise this fall season. Dorleus adds to the list of versatile forwards on the team that can run the floor well while flashing decent athleticism. He stood out for me because he worked hard on the boards and finished layups in transitions with good length and strength.
Mark Christian
Mark Christian
Christian was one of my top Paint Beast Standouts because of his overall game and ability to dominate the competition this weekend. He provided good energy and was constantly getting the to the rim to finish contested layups. The lefty 6’7 rising junior is a physical forward prospect who can for sure play the game at the next level.
