Team 3 Standouts
Jalen Crues Jalen Crues 6'6" | PF Glenbard North | 2024 State IL (Glenbard North – 2024)
Crues is a physically built 6’6” power forward that plays with a very high motor. He has bounce around the hoop high pointing rebounds in traffic and using his quick twitch around the hoop to be effective. Explosive finisher that bursts off the floor finishing dump offs and snatching rebounds. Mobile in the pick/roll game. Can put it on the deck from the high-post and in. Shot was a bit streaky although he did hit one early in the game I saw. Tough and hard nosed four with plus athleticism should be a top priority for small colleges and JUCOs in the Midwest as he has a high floor with some potential on his ceiling especially if the jumper becomes more consistent.
Cameron Morel Cameron Morel 6'4" | SG Aurora Christian | 2024 State IL (Aurora Christian – 2024)
Morel is a 6’4” small forward that has good size and a strong frame. In the first half of the game we saw didn’t do much, but then got it rolling once he saw the ball go through the nets. Plus shooter from three especially spotting up that will be a good option down the line at the D3 or NAIA level as a shooting specialist with positional size. His frame also helps him sneak in on the boards and is a decent transition finisher.
Dwayne Vann (Joliet West – 2024)
This 6’1” shooting guard plays taller with his length. Creative passer on the move, loves to play in transition where he can go coast to coast finishing with euro steps. Finished well in traffic.
Team 4 Standouts
Jonah Funk Jonah Funk 6'9" | C El Paso Gridley | 2025 State IL (El Paso Gridley – 2025)
Funk was the top prospect coming into the event and the top 15 2025 showed why! He is an impactful big man on both ends of the floor. Defensively he blocks and alters shots both on the interior and perimeter as well as anyone in the 2025 class. Rebounds well high pointing them in traffic and has the ability to take it off the glass himself and go the other way for scores in the open floor. Did that on a few occasions. Once he got a steal, coast to coast, jump stop, and a big dunk. Plays above the rim catching an alley-oop jam. Fluid running the floor. Struggled shooting it early in the game we saw, but hit one late. Great mechanics and will be a plus shooter at the next level as a face up post that can play with skill and athleticism. Mid-major guy easy at this stage.
Nico Wright Nico Wright 6'5" | PF Lane Tech | 2026 State IL (Lane Tech – 2026)
Wright absolutely made a massive mark with his play at the Top 250 Camp. At 6’5” this power forward jumped off the floor to us with his size, length, athleticism, and activity level. Defensively he was a force swatting shot after shot including a couple back to back with his elite second jump. Also showcased that explosiveness on the glass getting put backs at a good clip. Wright will definitely see his name in our next 2026 update and we look forward to seeing him early in the season.
Askia Bullie Askia Bullie 6'0" | PG Westinghouse | 2024 State IL (Westinghouse – 2024)
Bullie had a big summer for DTM on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Strong showing here despite not scoring a ton. He is a lead guard that can make others better by pushing the pace with his speed, shaking defenders, and finding teammates. He is in constant go mode!
Jalen Bealer (East Aurora – 2024)
Bealer is a tough 6’1” guard that attacks with strength. Strong and stocky guard that is a score first player. Loves to get in the lane to do his damage on slashes for runners and finishing through contact. Spins off the bounce and a ton of transition buckets for him. He was relentless getting downhill and being effective scoring in the paint at his height.
