Continue ReadingAfter an assortment of talented prospects from all across the Bluegrass State faced off in the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo at the MidAmerica Sports Center in Louisville this past Saturday, it’s time to look back at teams 1-10 and highlight some of the most efficient and organized units on the court. Without any further ado, here’s a closer look at Team 9 as well as the players that kept them organized on both sides of the floor throughout the event.
Miles Woodfork Miles Woodfork 6'0" | PG Paducah Tilghman | 2026 State KY – Paducah Tilghman – 2026
Miles Woodfork Miles Woodfork 6'0" | PG Paducah Tilghman | 2026 State KY , a 6-foot-1 point guard at Paducah Tilghman. What stood out about Woodfork was his footwork, unpredictability and his strong shooting effort from beyond the arc. In addition to excellent decision-making, Woodfork helped promote smart passing along the perimeter, composure under pressure and was quick to get back on defense. I was also fond of Woodfork’s consistent scoring effort.
Nick Belle Nick Belle 6'1" | CG Henderson County | 2024 State KY – Henderson County – 2024
Nick Belle Nick Belle 6'1" | CG Henderson County | 2024 State KY , a 6-foot-1 combo guard at Henderson County. Belle impressed me with his speed and precision, showcasing his ability to strike from range as well as blast past defenders in the paint. I was also impressed with how Belle pressured the opposition on the other side with his physical edge and forced turnovers.
Cj Johnson – Taylor County – 2024
CJ Johnson, a 6-foot-1 point guard at Taylor County. Johnson was turning heads with his explosive speed and ability to juke out defenders. Johnson additionally proved his toughness underneath the rim as well as up top, impressing me with his calculated shooting performance and ability to attack the glass.
AJ Dixon AJ Dixon 6'3" | SG Henry Clay | 2025 State KY – Henry Clay – 2025
AJ Dixon AJ Dixon 6'3" | SG Henry Clay | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-3 shooting guard at Henry Clay. Dixon made a big difference with his well-balanced playstyle and ability to handle pressure from behind the three-point line. Dixon contributed a solid handle on the ball as well as red-hot shooting, proving his versatility in competitive situations as well as his efficient jump shot.
Caleb Huff Caleb Huff 6'4" | PF North Hardin | 2025 State KY – North Hardin – 2025
Caleb Huff Caleb Huff 6'4" | PF North Hardin | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-4 shooting guard at North Hardin. Huff contributed excellent support from all over the court, consistently beating the defense with his legs to get open for passes and make a difference in the paint with his height and wingspan. Huff meshed well with his teammates due to his ability to contribute to the rebounding battle and consistently pass to teammates with open looks.
Cameron Steele Cameron Steele 5'8" | PG Madison Central | 2026 State KY – Madison Central – 2026
Cameron Steele Cameron Steele 5'8" | PG Madison Central | 2026 State KY , a 5-foot-8 point guard at Madison Central. What I liked about Steele was his championship mentality and aggressive playstyle, making a difference with his ability to handle contact and maneuver his way to the glass. Steele also impressed with his physical edge and ability to stay locked in underneath the rim to disrupt the drive.
Nolan Mast – Mt. Vernon Township – 2026
Nolan Mast, a 6-foot-0 playmaker out of Mt. Vernon Township. Mast impressed me with his coordinated movement around the court as well as his selfless playstyle as he consistently utilized his teammates by passing the ball around along the perimeter. Mast also impressed with his scoring effort, proving he can drive to the rim and maintain control under pressure.
Tavon Stith – Bosse – 2025
Tavon Stith, a 6-foot-1 guard at Bosse High School. Stith caught my attention with his ability to protect the ball and blast the opposition from all over the floor. In addition to great speed in transition, Stith caught my attention with his aggression defensively, helping to shut down inside passing and protect the rim from dangerous outside shots.
