Withrow was an explosive lead guard that put together some impressive performances for his group. He’s a good isolation scorer on offense, constantly looking to attack his defender and get downhill towards the rim. Defensively, he plays with a chip on his shoulder and looks to be a mosquito for his matchup every time he brings it up the court. Look for him to push to make an impact at Ardrey Kell as a sophomore.
Long is a name we’ve known at PrepHoops for a while, and turned into another consistent, solid outing this weekend. He’s a capable combo guard that can knock down shots from the perimeter and looks to consistently contribute on the offensive end during games. Good size as well for being a guard, standing at 6’2 and with some notable size and strength on his frame. He should have a big senior year at Carolina International this upcoming season.

Clinton was a solid addition to his group today, making his presence felt in a variety of ways on the floor. He knocked down shots, rebounded the ball at a high clip, and played some good defense against multiple positions. A Swiss army knife in the truest sense, he brings a balanced approach to how he sees, plays, and reads the game. He should be in line for a good year at Kings Mountain this winter.
A bouncy, athletic forward that made an impression on many scouts watching in the gym on the day, Lord has serious natural ability. A very up and down guy as he had some impressive dunks, blocked shots, and an ability to crash the boards at a high clip. Developing a perimeter game at the moment and showed flashes of knocking down shots and creating his own bucket from the outside today. He’ll look to continue making an impact for Jack Britt this upcoming year.

Smith is a bigger guard that impressed me with his touch and ball skills around the basket. It was obvious he felt comfortable driving the ball or initiating offense, and I got to see him break down several defenders with his dribble combos. Was able to use his size to his advantage and finish through guys around the rim as well as get fouls drawn on him. He should become one of the go to guys for a Franklinton team graduating a ton of seniors.
Jacob Warren Jacob Warren 6'0" | CG West Cabarrus | 2025 NC

Warren was one of the more enjoyable players to watch all weekend even if he didn’t post highlight plays or show up as a leading scorer. He is an intelligent, patient point guard that could be entrusted to run many teams. He’s pass first and has a great grip on what needs to get done on the offensive end. Also impacts with a sturdy frame on the defensive end which makes him able to battle other guards with his strength. High IQ guy that should make an impact at West Cabarrus this year.
Cherry was a scrappy guard who worked well in spurts getting the ball to the painted area and getting others involved. He’s got potential out of the 252 area with his ability at the guard spot to knock down shots and finish in traffic. I was impressed with his ability to drive the ball and keep it tight in order to limit turnovers and increase paint touches, a must for his team to be able to score it easily. A name to get to know out of West Craven High.
