We got a chance to see every team compete at least one time and quite a few guys caught our attention. Here’s a look at some of the players that impressed us with their ability to score at all three levels.
Kayin Turner Kayin Turner 6'5" | SF Sunset | 2024 State OR (2024 Sunset) – Multiple dunks and threes in the same game? That’s what Turner did at the Expo as he capably showed off his shooting touch with range as well as used his ball skills to create and finish above the rim. The 6-foot-5 swingman was near unstoppable in particular in transition.
Alexander Choi Alexander Choi 6'0" | SF Westview | 2024 State OR (2024 Westview) – A solid shooter, Choi has always been about more than just doing the catch-and-shoot thing and he demonstrated that at the event. He knocked down open jumpers but also used a crafty dribble to get around defenders to find openings in the mid-range or get all the way to the basket.
Steven Adams Steven Adams 5'11" | CG McNary | 2025 State OR (2025 McNary) – One of the quicker players in the gym, Adams was in attack mode beating guys off the dribble and getting to the hoop or using the quick stop to fire off his lefty pull-up jumper. He drained a number of threes to keep the defense honest.
Cole Hammack Cole Hammack 5'10" | PG North Marion | 2025 State OR (2024 North Marion) – As you would expect from one of the top scorers in the state at any level, Hammack certainly got his points in on Sunday. His bread and butter remains getting buckets off the drive but he also showed off his shooting touch from long range as well.
Cole Javernick Cole Javernick 6'4" | SF Tualatin | 2024 State OR (2024 Tualatin) – Using his size and athleticism, Javernick demonstrated how he could get buckets in numerous ways getting to the hoop and finishing around the rim. His pull-up jumper was solid and his range extended beyond the three-point line.
Hudson Guthrie Hudson Guthrie 6'4" | SF Sunset | 2025 State OR (2025 Sunset) – With his size and shooting acumen, Guthrie was able to utilize his ability to score both inside and out. His length and athleticism helped with finishes around the hoop and he capably stepped outside to face up and create or drain jumpers from beyond the arc.
Brady Muilenburg Brady Muilenburg 6'7" | SG Ridgeview | 2025 State OR (2025 Ridgeview) – At 6-foot-6 with length, Muilenburg certainly got his opportunities inside but seemed just as comfortable facing the basket. He canned jumpers as well as used some ball-handling to create and pull up from mid-range as well.
Liam Rigney Liam Rigney 6'2" | SG Lake Oswego | 2026 State OR (2026 Lake Oswego) – There was a lot to like about the blend of Rigney’s 6-foot-4 size and his ability to score the ball. In the full game we watched, he was sharp with his outside jumper and his ability to move off the bounce and finish around the hoop was solid as well.
