In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the
Quick Hitters
- Finished 15-9 last season
- Lost to Noblesville in Sectionals
- 15-straight winning seasons
- J.R. Howell returns for 3rd year as head coach. 71-68 in 7 years as a head coach
Top Player: Drew Snively Drew Snively 6'4" | SG Zionsville | 2025 State IN
With the departures from last season, Snively is without question the best player for Zionsville this season. Over the past year, the 6’4 sharpshooting guard has proven to be a D1 prospect. He has a consistent outside shooting stroke, good size, and solid ball skill to create off of the dribble as well. He should really fill up the stat sheet this year and have a breakout season himself.
Potential Breakout Player: Maguire Mitchell Maguire Mitchell 6'5" | SG Zionsville | 2025 State IN
The other great backcourt option for the Eagles is Maguire Mitchell Maguire Mitchell 6'5" | SG Zionsville | 2025 State IN . Mitchell is a 6’6 shooting guard that has been one of the in-state stock risers as of late. He has good size on the wing plus length and some lateral athleticism that translates to the defensive end of the floor. Mitchell is a 3-and-D type of prospect to keep an eye on who will likely blossom into a Division I level talent over the coming seasons as well.
Other Important Roster Members
- Quincy Ferguson Quincy Ferguson 5'8" | PG Zionsville | 2026 IN – The 5’8″ point guard from Zionsville is a skilled offensive player with a sweet outside stroke and a variety of intermediate finishes. Could see some time at the Varsity level this season.
- Owen Haan Owen Haan 5'8" | PG Zionsville | 2026 IN – Although he is a smaller shooting guard, Haan defends pretty well for his size. He is also a spot up shooter with a nice shooting stroke from both the outside and from the mid-range.
- Cooper Hess Cooper Hess 6'7" | PF Zionsville | 2026 State IN – At 6’5, Hess is a interesting post option for the Eagles this season. He should get an increased role this season.
