In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Silver Creek Dragons.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 12/12
- Lost to Scottsburg in Sectionals
- Brandon Hoffman returns for 14th season as head coach. 225-98 all-time.
Top Player: Kasen Daeger Kasen Daeger 6'3" | SG Silver Creek | 2026 State IN
Daeger is one of the up-and-coming 2026s we have in the state. The 6’3 shooting guard is one of the best pure scorers in that in-state class. He plays with a high IQ and can either score at the rim and especially knock down the long ball well. Plays with a tough motor on both ends of the floor as well. Schools at levels are starting to take notice of this rising sophomore and while he will be the best player for Dragons, he is also in line for a break season himself.
Potential Breakout Player: Kyle Roberts Kyle Roberts 6'1" | SG Silver Creek | 2024 IN
Roberts returns as the senior backcourt leader for the Silver Creek Dragons. Roberts is a taller shooting guard that has athleticism and skill. He is one of the best perimeter threats on this team and is a player that can get hot at any moment. Has an offer from Arkansas State University and a breakout season would get more schools in involved. He is a great backcourt partner alongside Daeger.
Other Important Roster Members
- Walker Hoffman Walker Hoffman 6'6" | C Silver Creek | 2025 IN – The 6’6 center Hoffman is going to be the size for the Dragons. While football is likely his main sport, he also provides such a massive presence down low for Silver Creek and gives them a huge advantage down low. Important piece for Silver Creek this season.
- Dane Sprigler Dane Sprigler 5'11" | PG Silver Creek | 2026 IN – Springler has a chance to see an increase in production this season for the Dragons. Bigger point guard who plays smart basketball and very under control. He is both smooth scoring and handling the ball.
