In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Delta Eagles.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 19-10 last season
- Lost to NorthWood in Semi-State
- Mark Detweiler returns for 7th season as head coach of Delta. 113-39 in 7 seasons there.
Top Player:
The amount of improvements that Hood has made in his overall game has been fun to watch over the past few years. Hood is a physical wing with good size. He attacks the rim aggressively off of the dribble, is very good in transition, and can make open three-point shots as well. That is not even mentioning on how athletic he is which is a major advantage for the Eagles. College coaches are starting to take notice and this is going to be a big year for Hood.
Potential Breakout Player: Jackson Wors
Wors has always been a player with breakout potential. He is a forward that can play both on the wing and post which provides a great versatility option for the Eagles. Real solid rebounder on both ends and loves to play with contact. Has some underrated speed and footwork as well. Wors will be one of the leaders for Delta again this season.
Other Important Roster Members
- Jayden Furney Jayden Furney 6'1" | SG Delta | 2024 IN – Furney has always been a consistent piece for Delta over the years. A true combo guard that is an athletic 6’1″ guard that is at his best playing in transition and attacking the basket off of the dribble. However, he also showcases a smooth jump shot and the ability to score from beyond the arc as well.
- Jordan Furney Jordan Furney 6'2" | PG Delta | 2025 IN – The younger Furney will also play a role in the backcourt of Delta. Like the older Furney, he is more of a truer combo guard that can both on and off the ball.
Notable Games (Confirmed)

- vs Greenfield-Central (2/1)
- at New Castle (2/8)
