Continue ReadingTristian Strength excelled playing on and off the ball due to his precise movements and ability to space the floor. He found easy ways to score and get open looks from beyond the arc. Strength was also exceptional at reading and reacting to the defensive set in front of him, showing an understanding of when and when not to use a screen, when to cut, when to rotate, when to spot up, when to pop out, and when to signal for the dribble handoff. Tristian Strength delivered a significant scoring presence that continued to become more and more efficient.
Highlights
Jayson Demcher Jayson Demcher 6’4″ | CG Argyle | 2024 State TX , a fundamentally sound lead guard, possessed great size and a sturdy build for his position at 6-foot-4. Demcher’s threatening three-point shooting allowed him to manipulate close-outs and attack for a shot or the kick-out. Once Demcher got into the paint, he was sure to score, showing a strong ability to finish through traffic.
Jordan Blair Jordan Blair 6’4″ | SG Keller Central | 2024 TX stood out as one of the hardest-working ballplayers on the floor. Blair showcased a high motor that contributed to his effective impact on the court as he changed the game in several different ways. Offensively, Blair consistently touched the paint by playing at his own pace and created angles by using his hips to deceive his defender. Defensively, he competed for everything, showing prowess for crashing the boards with outstanding timing and defending the ball with pressure on the perimeter. This senior proved to be a good two-way asset.
D’Marcus Lewis D’Marcus Lewis 5’11” | PG L.G. Pinkston | 2024 TX couldn’t be contained by just one defender. He burned defenses when he turned on the jets. Lewis was often the fastest player on the court, very speedy with the ball, not to mention the quickness to get downhill and to the rack in the blink of an eye.
