Here are the Prep Hoops #26-#30 players from 2026:
Jalihn Timmons Jalihn Timmons 6'0" | SG Wichita Heights | 2026 State KS , 5-foot-10 shooting guard, 2026, Wichita Heights:
You aren’t going to be on the Wichita Heights varsity as a freshman unless you have some serious talent. Although Timmons only appeared in a couple of varsity games, the fact that he was on the state tournament squad tells you a lot. (He got into two games at the 6A state tournament too.) He was the best player on a talented and athletic summer club. He has the handle to get where he wants and is a natural shooter and scorer. He is just as impactful on the defensive end, creating a bunch of havoc on the ball and in passing lanes. He’s quick and springy, with long arms. Those gifts help him break down a defender on the crossover to blow by and create offensive opportunities.
Jack Donovan Jack Donovan 5'11" | SG Rossville | 2026 State KS , 5-foot-11 shooting guard, 2026, Rossville:
A gamer on the court and the football field, Donovan was impactful enough as a freshman to earn state honorable mentions as well as second-team in the Mid-East League. The multi-sport competitor can really shoot it from deep and has the athleticism to do a lot of things for the Bulldawgs.
Wes Anderson Wes Anderson 5'9" | CG Frankfort | 2026 State KS , 5-foot-9 combo guard, 2026, Frankfort:
Another guy who got state honorable mentions as a freshman, Anderson was a bright spot in a rebuilding season for Frankfort. The son of a football coach, he is a baller. He’s tough and skilled with the ball, and loves to let it fly from deep. He shows a good handle and understanding how to attack a defense.
Gavin Thalheim Gavin Thalheim 5'11" | CG Northern Valley | 2026 State KS , 5-foot-11 combo guard, 2026, Northern Valley:
Thalheim played a big role on a really good team. Northern Valley was one of the top teams in the small school ranks all regular season. The varsity game was not too big for the freshman guard. He contributed in every way, rolling out 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. He can shoot it, handle the ball, defend and make plays all over the floor.
Edward Horinek Edward Horinek 6'0" | CG Beloit-St. Johns | 2026 State KS , 5-9 combo guard, 2026, Beloit-St. Johns:
Despite coming from one of the smallest schools in Kansas, Horinek earned a spot on the list as a freshman. He was a key contributor for a state-bound team. He averaged 10.5 points, shooting 34% from deep. He also handled the ball and got it to his talented teammates. He plays with a ton of energy and competitiveness and stepped up as a leader as a freshman.
