Here are some ranked 2025s from big schools who are going to shoulder a bigger load as juniors:
#4 – Jacorey Robinson Jacorey Robinson 6'4" | SF Highland Park | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Highland Park (pictured):
Graduation took several of Highland Park’s top players, most notably all-stater Ketraleus Aldridge. The Scots return several guards who have talent and experience, but the squad will be smaller. For two seasons, Robinson has been the ultimate role player. He has made most of his impact on defense and on the glass, battling bigger, older players in the paint. But Robinson demonstrates on the club scene that he’s ready to face the goal, handle the ball and stretch his range. He will be asked to take on a much bigger responsibility this season.
#12 – Terrell King Terrell King 5'8" | PG Hutchinson | 2025 State KS , 5-foot-8 guard, 2025, Hutchinson:
Talk about graduation losses. Hutchinson had an exciting blend of talent last year with stellar guard play, athletes who could get after it in transition, and a big man to lock down the paint. Five seniors graduated, leaving the point guard King to guide a bunch of new players. King is quick and clever with the ball, able to get his own shot and to lead under pressure. So the Salthawks will lean heavily on King for show the way.
#13 – Josh Kim Josh Kim 6'3" | CG Andover | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Andover:
In a similar position to King is Andover’s point guard Kim. The Trojans lose five seniors from their 5A title team. Departed is a ton of length, athleticism and long-range shooting ability. Kim has grown into a big, physical point guard who will be capable of much more as a junior than he was a small freshman when he started seeing varsity action. He hasn’t had to score a lot thus far in his career, but he’s capable of getting his own shot and will have to do more of it this year.
#40 – Tyler Holmes Tyler Holmes 6'2" | SF Bishop Ward | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-2 forward, 2025, Bishop Ward:
Bishop Ward came on with a really nice season led by three all-Kaw Valley performers. The loss will be widespread. They lost a big man, a high-scoring point guard and a shooter. The versatile Holmes can do some of all those things. He’s a dynamic athlete who is comfortable all over the floor and who can create shots in transition and in the halfcourt. He can’t do it alone, but he will be the building block for next season.
#54 – Carter Burnett Carter Burnett 6'4" | PF Wellington | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Wellington:
A loaded senior group took Wellington to the 4A state tournament last season. Burnett was an important piece of that success, but now the load on his shoulders will greatly increase. He is a long, tough and athletic big who can get it done in a variety of ways. Watch for his 8.5 points per game to go up significantly as the Crusaders adjust to graduation losses.
