Lazerek Houston Lazerek Houston 6’0″ | PG Lincoln Norttar | 2025 State NE had a really nice summer with ETG. At 6′, Houston can play either guard position, but is most effective with the ball in his hands controlling the offense. He is a quick, super skilled guard with a beautiful 3-point and pull up jumper. Last season at North Star, Houston averaged over 11 points per game. There were times last year where the offense ran through him, which says a lot, especially with the talent that was on their roster. This year, Houston will be the main guy. I expect him to have a breakout Junior season. Houston is a special talent.
Highlights
BJ Bradford BJ Bradford 5’11” | PG Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State NE will be transferring to Lincoln Southwest this upcoming year to team up with some high level talent. Last winter at Lincoln Southeast, Bradford averaged just over 8 points and three assists per game as a Sophomore. He is the type of player that can get hot fast, especially from deep. Bradford is also a very crafty playmaker with great open court vision. He will look to help lead the Silver Hawks on a deep run in Class A, and build off of his impressive Sophomore year.
I saw a lot of great things from D’Marius Shumaker this summer with Nebraska Supreme . Shumaker is a super shifty guard with a wide bag of moves and counters. He plays the game with a ton of swagger and confidence, which is needed from the point guard position. This season, Shumaker will also be transferring to Lincoln Southwest. He will have a big role on one of the top teams in Lincoln. If Shumaker continues his hot play from this summer, look for his stock to rise big time.
Reece Kircher Reece Kircher 6’0″ | PG Papio South | 2025 State NE is a treat to watch. The guard out of Papio South had a solid summer with ETG on the Adidas Circuit. He’s an incredibly tough and steady point guard with a large offensive skillset. Kircher also has a beautiful jumper from the outside, but does not fall in love with his three, as he will often look to put his head down and get to the rim. Last winter for Papio South, Kircher averaged over 10 points and nearly 3 assists per game. I expect him to have a breakout Junior year.
