Below is a review of six unranked, but extremely talented prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania.
Starting in September, college coaches and scouts need to watch these players and learn their names. That way no one will be shocked when these ballers make headlines during the 2023-24 high school season.
Sebastian Edwards – 6’3” / 2025 / Roman Catholic / East Coast Power / Point Guard: Edwards is a taller lead guard with elusive handles and a downhill style, so it is impossible to keep him out of the paint. Once Edwards is in the lane, he can score over defenders at the rim, unleash his floater game or drop a dime to a waiting teammate. If a defender tries to keep Edwards on the perimeter by sagging off, he will drain threes all game.
Brendan Horan – 6’5″ / 2025 / Archbishop Carroll / East Coast Power / Wing: Two months ago, Horan was flying under the radar. Now he is headed into fall ball as one of SEPA’s biggest 2025 stock risers. His outstanding play over the last five weeks produced offers from LIU, Akron, and Old Dominion. Horan scores at all three levels, is a plus defender and has all the intangibles college coaches obsess over.
Mason Jarvis – 6’4″ / 2025 / Church Farm School / NY Jayhawks / Combo Guard: With his length, speed and solid frame, Jarvis is a match-up nightmare for most opposing guards. When he isn’t blowing past his man for lay-ins or bullying his defender to get to his spots, Jarvis is splashing jumpers from well beyond the arc. His physical assets combined with his athleticism make Jarvis a dangerous transition scorer.
Teddy McAllister – 6’0” / 2024 / North Penn / Team Aztecs Elite / Combo Guard: McCallister is a wizard at scoring off the bounce scoring. He can use the dribble to get all the way to the rim or to create shots for himself in the mid-range. He owns a deep bag of spin, hesitation and change of direction moves. His ability to score through contact is impressive. McCallister’s step-back jumper is an effective weapon too.
Kingston McCoy – 6’2” / 2026 / Berks Catholic / Penn Playmakers / Wing: In 2022-23 McCoy was a key reserve for Berks Catholic, but earlier this month at Future All-American Camp he proved he is ready for a much bigger role as a sophomore. McCoy grabbed everyone’s attention with his open court scoring and distributing skills. He is a high energy, non-stop motor type of guard prospect. Thus, he places constant pressure on opposing defenses. As a bonus to his offensive skills, McCoy is a tenacious on-ball defender.
Rocco Westfield – 6’0″ / 2026 / Father Judge / Philly Revolution / Shooting Guard: Westfield’s high percentage three-point shot with logo distance range is his calling card. Still, what separates him from the pack of 2026 shooting guards is that Westfield does all the trivial things college coaches love. For example, Westfield competes on the glass at both ends, he is an outstanding team defender and he values possession of the rock.
