Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top young Class of 2026 and 2027 guards from Tuesday night’s Elite Camp at Lindenwood University. The event was presented by Gerdeman Camps.
2026
Cameron Doubrava Cameron Doubrava 6'1" | SG Moberly | 2026 State MO (Moberly): It was my first time seeing this 6’1″ guard from Mid-Missouri in action and I was very impressed with his motor and offensive game. He was constantly on the move as he was attacking the basket in the transition game. He also displayed the ability to get a bucket at all three levels. He could put together points in bunches when he got it really going.
******
Jason Stokes Jason Stokes 6'3" | SG MICDS | 2026 State MO (MICDS): A 6’3″ combo guard who did an excellent job of getting buckets on slashing drives in the lane. He has good length and he covers a lot of space with his long stride. His ability to drive opened things up for him from the perimeter as he also made a number of 3-pointers. He is also a capable playmaker as a ball handler and passer.
******
Alex Hessler (Lindbergh): A 6’3″ forward who was quietly putting in work around the basket by scoring inside in a variety of ways. He had a number of good second effort plays on the offensive boards as he got tip-ins and putbacks. He had good moves inside, including a nice spin in traffic to score and he also made good use of pump fakes against taller players.

2027
Tyler Ray (MICDS): A 6’1″ wing player who has good physical strength and a good set of fundamentals. He could overpower defenders with strong takes to the basket off the dribble to get tough buckets. He was also stepping out and knocking down 3-pointers as well. He is an excellent rebounder for his size as he gets excellent position and he has a quick jump around the basket. He was definitely a matchup problem.
******
Devin Rice (Cardinal Ritter): A 5’6″ point guard with excellent speed and quickness and he knew how to use it to his advantage without getting out of control. He was a blur in the open court and he was tough on his dribble penetration, which resulted in floaters and short jumpers. He also played off the ball well and hit a number of 3-pointers off the catch.
******
Karson Gerdeman Karson Gerdeman 5'10" | PG St. Charles West | 2027 State MO (St Charles West): A 5’9″ point guard who has good playmaking skills and a nice feel for the game, which is not surprising as he is a coach’s son. He is tight on the dribble and he was able get by some quick guards with nice escape moves to get into the lane. He also has a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range.
