Last season, the KGE 24 camps was a huge success and the top incoming seniors got a chance to see what it would be like at the college level plus gain a wealth of knowledge in doing so. This year’s field of incoming seniors is packed with elite talent plus guys looking to get more exposure. The best players in the 2024 in-state class will be under one roof this weekend. Here is part 2 of my players to watch this weekend.
Garner is a player that I have been high on all summer and his recruitment is starting to takeoff finally. Coming to Fishers from Germany before his junior season, Garner has showed off his incredible versatility ever since. At 6’6, this forward can often play like a guard by putting the ball on the floor and using his size to bully his way down the lane. His outside shooting is his next step in development and as that starts to improve, the offers may as well. Excited to see the showing he puts on at the KGE 24 Camp.
Highlights
Tornatta is another player that is will be at the KGE 24 Camp that also plays for Kyle Guy’s AAU program. At 6’7, the Evansville Memorial forward has boosted his stock over the summer and has proven to be one of the hardest working post prospects in the in-state 2024 class. Has played with an incredible motor every time I have watched him and his willingness to fight for every rebound is something that you love to see out of him. Also love his ability to also play physical on both ends of the floor. Could really be the breakout player at the camp this weekend.
Highlights
Wyatt Zellers is arguably the most under-the-radar big that will be in attendance this weekend. At 6’9, Zellers has a long and lanky build and is an excellent pick-and-pop threat. He rebounds it well in the post, but his shooting ability from the outside is what makes him a tough matchup for the defense. His great showing this spring/summer playing for Gran Park Premier boosted his stock in our rankings. The Scottsburg big is one of the players I am most excited to watch this weekend.
Pardon will be one of the players representing the Fort Wayne area at the KGE 24 Camp this weekend. Pardon is a 6’4 shooting guard that currently ranks No. 16 in our rankings and and is a player that can really put up points as he has shown in high school career. He is a pure scorer that is also real smooth left-hander. Playing for Ohio Buckets this summer, I did not get a chance to watch him but going into this weekend, he is going to be one of the guys I watch the most.
The Evansville Bosse lead guard comes into this camp as possibly the shortest player in attendance. Don’t let his size fool you however, Taray Howell Taray Howell 5'8" | PG Evansville Bosse | 2024 State IN can play with some of the best guards in the state. Even though he is on the shorter end, he is great and quick on the ball and is so dynamic at times. A pure scorer, he gets down hill very fast and creates so well off the dribble. Just overall has a real solid feel for the game and is a player that should benefit from this elite camp.
