Williams has really developed a quick burst off the dribble that’s helped take his game to new heights in recent months. He’s a true three-level scorer now, able to blow past defenders and get to the rim or pull up and hit the jumper. It’s not often a 5’10 point guard leads the game in point in the paint but that seemed like the case on Tuesday night.
JJ Feuerstein looks like he’s taken a huge step forward heading into his sophomore year. Feuerstein’s been lighting it up so far this fall and continued his hot run with a great game against Dalton on Tuesday. He’s been beaming with confidence as of late, shooting the three with no hesitancy off the dribble and knocking down plenty of them. Things seem to be trending upwards at Woodstock and JJ Feuerstein could lead the youth movement that puts the program back on the map.
Matt McAuley
Matt McAuley
Matt McAuley was operating like a maestro on Tuesday night, dissecting defenses for a number of assists and mid-range buckets. McAuley does a great job of playing off of two feet and makes the right reads each time down. The pass first point guard role seems to have lost some glamour in recent years but McAuley is a great example of how effective they can be. With a year of experience under his belt and a few more inches than he had last year, Matt McAuley could have a breakout season in store at Allatoona.
JJ Winston JJ Winston 6’3″ | SG Rome | 2026 State GA first broke on to the scene this spring with Wood Elite and after transferring to Cass, he could garner plenty more attention this upcoming season. He was excellent on Tuesday night, not only as a downhill attacker but as a distributor too. Together, he and Jayden Foster had a nice 2-man game working and that’ll likely be the bread and butter for Cass this year. Winston’s mix of skill and athleticism make for an intriguing package, especially as his body fills out.
Gabe Bolden Gabe Bolden 6’2″ | CG North Cobb Christian | 2024 State GA got off to a hot start in the opening game of the RYZE Fall League. He scored a quick 7 points to open the game, 2 smooth finishes at the rim and an early three. Defensively, his on-ball pressure proved frustrating for opposing guards and he forced multiple turnovers. His leadership skills have also been on display this fall as he leads a group of youngsters at North Cobb Christian. A handful of schools have been reaching out to Bolden as of late and he’d be a big pickup for many high-academic programs.
