Dutch Dowdell Dutch Dowdell 6'6" | SG Olympus | 2024 State #310 Nation UT || Olympus High School || 2024 ||
Dutch is looking to make history and not in the sense as him hunting for shots because if he just does his thing he is going to be a big time scorer and he is going to light up the three-point line as well. Dutch is a no brainer for one of the most prolific three-point shooters in the class let alone the state.
John Southwick John Southwick 6'3" | SG Utah Prep | 2025 State #234 Nation UT || Utah Prep || 2025
Although John will not be playing in 5A he should be among one of the most feared three-point shooters on any floor regardless of class. John was playing with an absolute cannon this grassroots season. John will be playing on The Grind Session but he will also face off against some Utah teams, so look for him to get his fair share of shots off for sure.
Bryce Mella Bryce Mella 6'5" | CG Mountain View | 2026 State UT || Mountain View High School || 2026 ||
Bryce has been a Swiss Army Knife for his MVHS team and for his club team as well and it looks like there is more size around him this year so he will not have to play 1-5 this season as much which mean he will handle the ball more and be out in the perimeter which will equate to more looks from deep. This kid does not get enough credit in the loaded Class of 2026.
Dean Rueckert Dean Rueckert 6'7" | SF Timpview | 2026 State UT || Timpview High School || 2026 ||
Dean has to be one of the players that could completely explode from deep this winter. Dean has elite length at the wing position and although he is a 3 at the next level his length and future strength that he will gain will help him in all facets of the game. He is deadly from three, especially in the corner. The thing that will help him beyond the arc is that he can grab and go and when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands he is a great lane runner.
Dominick Phannolath Dominick Phannolath 5'11" | CG Hunter | 2025 State UT || Hunter High School || 2024 ||
If he is in 6A or 5A it doesn’t really matter as he will light it up either way. Look for Dominick to be able to spread the floor but also hit a bunch of shots from deep.
Chase DeGraffenried || Salem Hills High School || 2024 ||
A bit off the radar but the kid can score. He can rattle off 4+ three-pointers easily but his game is more than just shooting three’s. He will still be among the three-point leaders either way.
