The players on the 16U team all come from the Fargo metro area. NLBA 16U had a solid season and as their confidence grew things kept getting better. They became more consistent as a team and the players thrived once they settled into their roles. Get to know these names, they will all be players to watch this winter, and it will be fun to see what role they play on their respective teams.
Do not forget, Next Level Basketball Academy is an official member of the Prep Hoops Circuit, so we have to give them a shout-out for that!

Alex Wetterlin Alex Wetterlin 6'5" | PF West Fargo | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’5 F| West Fargo
He had a very nice season. Wetterlin grew as a player, provided an inside presence, and shot it well from beyond the arc. Alex proved to be a legit 3-level scorer. He was a playmaker for NLBA with the flexibility to do damage inside and out. Wetterlin is physical and he can bang down low but he can really knockdown them down from deep. Wetterlin is not just a productive player he is also a great kid to coach. PHD believes that Alex will have a breakout season for West Fargo, he will have a legit chance to start for the Packers. If he does not start, look for Wetterlin to be a major contributor.
Brodie Runck Brodie Runck 6'4" | SG Central Cass | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’3 G| Central Cass
He is a difference-maker in the catch-n-shoot game from beyond the 3-point arc. Runck is a lengthy guard that shoots it well. This summer, Brodie showed that he can provide an offensive punch. His confidence grew over the course of the grassroots season. Runck was an impact player for NLBA because of his shooting and full effort. Look for him to be a valuable member of a tough Squirrel team this winter.
Carter Rahn Carter Rahn 6'3" | PF West Fargo | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’2 F| West Fargo
He gave NLBA some quality inside scoring. Carter improved his shooting touch. Over the course of the season, Rahn started to anticipate rebounds better and this led to increased production. He always plays hard and he gives all-out energy! Everyone loves a player that gives all of his effort in every game. As the season progressed, Rahn became a more efficient basketball player as well. He is another player with an excellent attitude.
Cobe Wehri (2025) |5’11 G| West Fargo
He joined the team partway through the season and Cobe provided NLBA with a guard presence. Wehri was an asset to the squad in the catch-n-shoot game. After he hit a few shots, defenders closed out hard, and Cobe could break them down off the bounce. He turned out to be a shooter and a creator. Wehri is another Packer that we will have to keep eyes on this winter and see what role he plays for West Fargo.
Justin Ajeo Justin Ajeo 5'11" | PG Shanley | 2025 State ND (2025) |5’11 G| Shanley
He is an extremely quick and fleet-footed baller. Justin brought an athletic guard presence to NLBA. He really shined on the defensive end of the floor. On offense, Ajeo is a selfless player and he did whatever the coaches asked. Justin can hit triples and make plays off the ball. He is an exciting player to watch in uptempo situations. I would expect Ajeo to be in the rotation and get legit varsity burn for the Deacons this coming season.
Mag-Audries Cummings Mag-Audries Cummings 5'10" | CG West Fargo | 2025 State ND (2025) |5’10 G| West Fargo
He did great work at getting everyone involved on the team and when someone was hot, Cummings found them. He was the floor general for this NLBA squad. Mag was effective on defense with his ball pressure, he likes to pick up and play defense for the full 94-feet. He was impressive on D! Mag is creative off the bounce and he showed flashes of brilliance this season. I am excited to see what the future holds for this Packer.
Ryker Bergee Ryker Bergee 6'8" | PF West Fargo | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’7 F| West Fargo
NLBA depended on his size for interior defense, rim protection, and rebounding. On offense, Bergee proved that he could finish with his left or right hand. He also showed the ability to step outside and cash in the triple. In today’s game, everyone loves a 6’7 kid who can hit the occasional 3ball. When NLBA saw zone defense, Ryker was extra-effective from the elbow. I do not know what Bergee’s role will be for the Packers, but he could be a sneaky player to keep an eye on.
Stellen Nelson Stellen Nelson 6'4" | SG Fargo North | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’4 G| Fargo North
He is a serious threat in the catch-n-shoot game. Nelson can stroke it from 3-point land. His confidence and playmaking abilities improved this club season. I see him as a dual-threat player, Stellen can slash and shoot. I saw him this summer with the Spartans, and Nelson caught my eye with some athletic plays. North is deep and super athletic, so I am not sure what role Nelson will play but I know that he has a ton of potential!
