Continue ReadingOba has the frame and physical tools of D1 prospect. He’s bouncy, with the ability to play above the rim off two. He showed shooting ability out past the three point line, and plays the game with solid fundamentals. He was able to knock down threes in catch and shoot, as well as from a triple threat position. His defensive skills give you the impression that you could be looking at one of the top 3 and D players in the state.

I was impressed with Tolever’s ability this weekend. He did a good job, of showing what he’s good at, while working on additional parts of his game. As always he rebounded the basketball relentlessley, grabbing in traffic and out of area boards. He also displayed a new found perimeter game, handling the ball on wings and in transition, while showing the ability to defend on the perimeter.
Coleman’s Camp coach was on his head a lot, they typically do that when they like the potential of a player. I can see why with Coleman, he has long arms and a good frame, and has the skill and shot making ability to play the 2 or 3. He uses his stepback effectively from mid range and to get behind the line for three.

Saw a bit of the foreign transfer during the Grassroots season. He’s a versatile, hybrid forward with a good frame, and decent perimeter skills. He played with good physicality, giving almost as good as he got. He’s a decent R&J athlete that showed off his bounce in transition opportunities.

Fontenot was one of the most dominant players at the camp. He’s listed as 6’5 however his arms make him play around 6’7. Combined with his frame, his physical tools also include an explosive first jump, which allowed him to grab numerous rebounds, and finish several plays with jams from the Dunkers spot.
