Griffin Cooper Commits and Other Recruiting News

Griffin Cooper Griffin Cooper 6'8" | PF Columbia Academy | 2024 State TN (Columbia Academy) verbally committed to University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH). The senior-to-be is both a high jumper and basketball player. UAH Head Coach John Shulman is letting him compete as both a college hooper and a college track & field athlete. Cooper is ranked #18 overall. Cooper is the 7th Top 20 player to select a college. He is the first to commit to playing two sports at the college level. Last season Grant Campbell committed to play college basketball and wanted to high-jump too. Instead, he elected to high jump only at the University of Tennessee.

Kavien Jones Kavien Jones 6'6" | PF Battle Ground | 2024 State TN , Cooper's AAU teammate with Team Mookie, verbally committed to Tennessee State University last month.

Bereket Evans Bereket Evans 5'9" | PG Morristown West | 2025 State TN (Morristown West) is making noise with his elite camping trips. Bereket is a blazing-fast point guard and cornerback/wide receiver for Mo West, starter since his freshman year. Evans camped with Milligan, Mars Hill, USC Aiken, Emory and Henry, and will finish the month with Queens Charlotte.

Brandon Fields Brandon Fields 6'1" | SG LEAD Academy | 2024 TN (LEAD Academy) just added a Walters State offer. He is a senior.

Former State Champion Ques Glover (Bearden '19) finalized his transfer to Kansas State University. Ques began with University of Florida and did not enjoy it at all. He thrived for two seasons with Samford University. Now he travels to Manhattan, Kansas to wrap up his college basketball career.

Probably way off of the radar...Derrick Rose's son is going to attend Lausanne Collegiate. He is still in elementary school, so we will not be evaluating or even sharing his name. Just an interesting little nugget.

Greyson Williams Greyson Williams 5'10" | PG Battle Ground | 2025 State TN (Battle Ground Academy) earned an offer from Cumerland University.

Jackson Hobbs Jackson Hobbs 6'6" | PF Elizabethton | 2024 State TN camped Elite Camps at Trevecca, Lee, Milligan, USC-Aiken, LMU, University of the Cumberlands, and Tusculum.
