Kenneth Anthony II Kenneth Anthony II 6'9" | PF Mount St. Joseph | 2027 State MD II | Mount Saint Joseph (MD)
Yes, Anthony is 6’8″ and athletic. But I was impressed with his intangibles. In a camp setting, big men are generally discouraged because guards tend to dominate the ball. But Anthony remained engaged defensively and on the boards. He took his chances offensively when they came, and made sure to share the ball with and encourage his teammates.
Garan Harmon | Evergreen Christian (VA)
Harman was a vocal floor general who was effective as a scorer and facilitator. I saw him hit shots from outside but at 5’7″ he had no problem getting into the lane and finishing either.
Riczyoung Otim | Hylton (VA)
There was a 3 or 4 play sequence about midway through the camp that illustrated exactly why Otim should be considered a bonafide two-way player. Aside from that stretch, he regularly appeared in the right spot at the right time both offensively and defensively. Otim was efficient with the ball and competed tenaciously on defense.
Brendan Peters | La Plata (MD)
Peters worked well without the ball and made himself available for dump-offs. He showcased soft hands and touch when scoring in the lane.
Damari’ Ray | TBD
You have to put a hand up when Ray is in possession anywhere inside the volleyball line. He has deep range and the confidence to let it fly at will. Ray is also capable of picking out a pass, so don’t cheat too much from the help side.
Kai Roberts | Gainesville (VA)
Roberts provided value as a floor spacer for his team. He was shot-ready upon the catch at all times and held his follow-through upon release. I saw Roberts hit one three from the wing and another from the corner. Neither shot touched the rim.
Ernest (Will) Robinson | Paul VI (VA)
Robinson did a great job impacting the game even when he wasn’t scoring. He had one of the more impressive blocks I witnessed at the event. Robinson also made an effort to keep the ball moving and share it with his teammates.
