Kenneth Anthony II Kenneth Anthony II 6'9" | PF Mount St. Joseph | 2027 State MD II | Mount Saint Joseph (MD)
Anthony commanded the full attention of foes throughout the day. The 6’8” forward is a top-tier athlete but his passing is one of my favorite parts of his game. Anthony also demands the ball adamantly when around the basket but also exhibits the confidence to hit shots consistently from outside.
Jonathan Bell | Gar-Field (VA)
It didn’t take long for Bell to establish himself as one of the better all-around players in the gym. The 6’1” lead guard does a bit of everything well and demonstrates a great feel for the game.
Kirby Duran Kirby Duran 6'1" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2027 State MD | Bishop McNamara (MD)
Duran is a dynamic offensive player who showed that he can impact games as a scorer or a playmaker. I was impressed with how well he rebounded from the guard position and I appreciated his willingness to dig in on defense also.
Jordan Taylor Jordan Taylor 6'5" | PF Bishop McNamara | 2027 State MD | Bishop McNamara (MD)
I would venture to guess that Taylor’s field goal percentage at this event was in the neighborhood of 80% conservatively. At 6’2” he is a powerhouse who is quite comfortable finishing in traffic.
Brandon Woodard | Lanham Christian (MD)
One could argue that there is as much upside in Woodard as anyone who participated in the freshman showcase. The athletic 6’7” forward excelled as a finisher but also made plenty of shots from the perimeter.
