Riverside has another athletic 6’7 forward for the Jacksonville area to worry about with Wells. He runs the floor, slashes to the rim with the skills to make tough finishes, and knocks down right hooks out of the post. He’s a good rebounder on both ends of the floor. Wells is comfortable kicking out to shooters if he doesn’t have a clean second look under the basket. Interesting two-way prospect with the agility and size to cover 2-4.
Cornish is a high-level athlete with a nonstop motor. At 6’4, he’s a slasher with a quick first step. His second jump allows him to play bigger than he is, making him a productive offensive rebounder. He has all the tools to be a plus defender between his length and athleticism.
Cruz is a 6’7 perimeter player that can make plays on and off the ball. When he finds his rhythm, he produces as a defender, off-the-catch shooter, and a physical downhill driver. His frame allows him to create contact, finish against size, and get to the free-throw line.
Wilson is a strong and athletic 6’4 combo guard. He can finish through contact around the rim and convert and1 opportunities. Wilson is a solid passer who excels at finding open teammates in transition.
Morris is a 6’5 forward who produces in several ways. In the half court, he’s a ball mover who understands the flow of the offense. He’s a multi-position with quickness and hips to defend guard and the strength to defend threes and smaller fours. Offensively he can take his man off the dribble and creates second-chance plays with his offensive rebounding
Christian McAvoy
McAvoy is a 6’6 forward who transferred to Lecanto from Georgia. With long arms and athleticism, he gives his new squad a rebounder and a passing defender who walls up. They could be in for a breakout season.
Erik Buscher
Newsome has another big that could become a hot prospect during his senior year in Buscher. The 6’8 forward has a great frame that could fill out in the weight room and a college diet plan. He’s a rebounding machine who can block shots.
