Talk about a kid with a bright future. He has the position size and he has the skills and foundation to really make a big jump this year. He has the size to be a lead Combo Guard and just be a force with size, skill and quickness. The way he can get down and switch levels when playing allows him to use a big burst to get by defenders. That change of speed freezes defenders and he can use his shoulders to bump with zero extension from his off hand. He goes hard left or right and he can use his elite floater or get to the rim and challenge any shot blocker. On defense he can defend 1-5 right now because of his sheer strength and basketball IQ. ExPlosive off of the first jump and he plays with a lot of energy. BUY STOCK NOW!
Jakyi Miles || California ||
Kakyi is a three level monster because he can score at the three levels but he can also work that shifty ness at the three levels as well. He can shake defenders out in the perimeter that choose to pick him up high. He then gets into the mid-range where he uses his footwork and ball handling to get loose and at the rim he can move really quickly and explode different directions to get loose. He makes defenders pay when they come up too high and he also makes them pay if they give him too much space. He is a pick your poison type of player for sure. His size and quickness really makes him a tough cover.
Jordan Mize || California ||
Jordan is a lanky wing that really defends the ball. He has been used up top on traps and on the ball full-court trapping and that length really helps him get steals and tips that lead to easy buckets. That slender frame is strong either way as he goes inside and finishes in traffic and seems un-bothered. This past year just started leaping better as he is finishing above the rim and with force. Next season look for him to add more above the rim attacks and finishes. He has a solid handle and the ability to grab and go to get that break started quickly. Look for him to impress even more out in the perimeter and on his attacks.
Madden Hill || Texas ||
Madden is a walking bucket for sure. Madden will dribble you to a point where he knows he can get that step-back in and he can hit from impressive range. Catch and shoot is dangerous and that ability to spray from all over the floor is next level for sure. Crafty at the rim and on his attacks as he protects the ball and just knows how to carve through the defense like butter. Put him in a pick n’ roll and he will make the right read and make everyone around him better.
Kam Mercer || Ohio ||
This kids game makes an opposing parent want to check his birth certificate because he is light years ahead of the pack. He can morph his game to what you need to win. He can come and play some physical ball and bully defenders and he can also use that smooth skill work as well. He is a player that welcomes contact and often times he is the one that is seeking the contact. Finishing ability is ready for the high school level and his shooting is nice. This kid is a no-brainer right now.
