Starting with the Wesco 2A/3A, I'll be going league by league to break down returning all-league players and try to predict who else has a shot at being an all-league player in the 2023-24 season.

Even while losing a ton of talent to the 2023 graduating class, the Weco 2A/3A still returns a bunch of all-league performers and boasts a league deep with talent and potential. Here are some of the top names to watch in the conference this winter.

Returning All-League Players

First-Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1444804' first='Arion' last='Palacol'] Marysville Getchell '25

The sharpshooting floor general averaged 20 points per game last season and had an outstanding summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2088822' first='D1' last='Elite']. Smart player who keeps building on his success and has really stood out as a leader on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450489' first='Zaveon' last='Jones'] Mountlake Terrace '24

One of the most physically imposing figures in the league, Jones has quick feet and a deft touch near the rim. The skilled forward announced his presence two seasons ago and has continued to perform on the big stages, helping the Hawks to within one game of placing at State last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450954' first='Isaiah' last='White'] Everett '24

The Everett guard has unique versatility and can play both guard spots. He can score, assist, rebound, and has big-time athleticism to make him a tough cover in the backcourt. In 2022-23, he averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, about three assists, and just over a steal per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450563' first='Jaxon' last='Dubiel'] Mountlake Terrace '24

The do-it-all guard is one of the more well-rounded impact players in his class. He's a high IQ, instinctual player who makes plays in any way his team needs. Not many guys affect the game in as many ways as Dubiel does.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450931' first='John' last='Floyd'] Stanwood '24

Floyd made a big leap last season, taking on a big scoring role for the Spartans and showcasing a mix of power at the rim and efficient shooting from the mid-range and 3-point. He's continued to excel this summer, picking up a D3 and an NAIA offer in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451025' first='Leyton' last='Martin'] Arlington '25

He's one of the more intelligent players in his class who plays with exceptional vision on both ends of the floor. Martin has been steadily improving from 3-point range as well and should continue to have some monster games for Arlington this winter.

Second-Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1450618' first='Max' last='Mayo'] Stanwood '24

This guy continues to get better and had a great spring and summer season. He's an efficient scorer from the mid-range who has really grown as a point guard, taking on a big responsibility to create looks for teammates and keeping the defense honest at all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='1547314' first='Shawn' last='Etheridge'] Marysville Getchell '24

Etheridge is a spark plug player who provides excellent defense, can stifle ballhandlers, and create turnovers. He's improved offensively with his finishing at the hoop and is a big hustle guy that you want on the floor in crucial moments.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612355' first='Drew' last='Davis'] Snohomish '24

The strong forward does a little bit of it all for Snohomish, but a lot of what he does best comes around the paint and playing off of two feet. He's an excellent rebounder with a strong nose for the ball, can finish through contact or make on-target kick-outs, plays with a high motor, and can even drop in some jump shots out to 3-point range. He has a solid all-around game and should be in for another strong season.

Other Players to Watch

[player_tooltip player_id='1451024' first='Mateen' last='Usui'] Archbishop Murphy '25

Usui still has a ways to go to be an all-league player, but he ended the 2022-23 season with a nice stretch of games where he looked a little more consistent and fluid scoring the rock near the hoop. He's improved with the dribble, has better activity on defense, and still takes up a lot of space on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685498' first='Jack' last='Sievers'] Archbishop Murphy '26

A broad-shouldered forward that brings physicality and high effort to the floor. He's an efficient paint finisher and showed he can rebound with the best of them, averaging over 10 rebounds a game last season, including two games with 20+ boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1984477' first='Murphy' last='Vliem'] Cedarcrest '25

Vliem has the size to outmuscle a lot of players on the glass and at the rim, and is the kind of energy guy that can rebound from anywhere; crashing in from the perimeter or lurking around the paint. He should have a big impact for Cedarcrest and has enough skill offensively to contribute some big games on that side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978880' first='Ty' last='Bloomfield'] Everett '24

One of two returning players who averaged over 10 points per game last season for the Gulls, Bloomfield is a highly efficient 3-point shooter and an opportunistic defender. He's a big threat to score off the dribble in the mid-range too and should see a big boost in his numbers this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463070' first='Jaymon' last='Wright'] Meadowdale '24

Wright is a smooth guard with a buttery jumper from the mid-range. He can stroke it from outside the arc too but is at his best working to get defenders off balance with the dribble and working in toward the hoop. He's also started to flourish as a playmaker and could be a sneaky all-league selection next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1977206' first='Logan' last='Tews'] Mountlake Terrace '24

Quick little guard that plays a tough game on both ends, he can sneak around defenders and get to the rim pretty well but also finishes with some good strength. For a team that likes to play staunch defense and control the pace of play, Tews plays a big role in setting those two things in motion.

[player_tooltip player_id='1485655' first='Svayjeet' last='Singh'] Mountlake Terrace '25

Singh is a highly underrated player that is often called on to match up with a variety of players defensively, and he's a guy that can quietly lock down some pretty effective scorers. He is strong inside, works the feet well on the perimeter, can rebound it well, and even has some grit to chip in buckets on offense. He might not be as flashy a player as some others on this list, but he's an extremely important piece to his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450955' first='Anthony' last='Najera'] Everett '24

Najera is a quick guard off the bounce who can really create shots for himself and others. He shows exceptional vision at times, has the ability to keep the dribble alive under pressure, and shows patience working for good looks in the half-court. He can shoot it too and should be a big addition for Everett this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1696694' first='Disma' last='Kagarabi'] Shorecrest '25

The physical tools are pretty apparent, but Kagarabi also showed some good defensive instincts last season and has a nice combo of athletic finishing at the hoop and the potential to shoot from long-range. Consistency will be key if he's going to tap into his all-league potential next season, but he's an interesting player to watch with some big potential.
